Answer:
Why hindu pagan has to change
religion to marry?
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is no one (no idol, no person, no
grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Indeed, it is an universal belief that there is only One
God, The One Who created everything in existence. He Alone is The Creator, The Sustainer, The
Provider, The Cherisher, The All-Hearing, The All-Seeing, The All-Powerful and
the All-Mighty. When God is The One and
Only Creator, then He Alone deserves our reverence, our awe, our obedience, our
devotion, and our worship. One may call
upon Him by any of His Attributes or Names, for all the Best Names belong to
Him. This Absolute Oneness of the
Creator is the backbone and pivot of the way of life called ‘Islam’.
God Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 59 Surah
Hashr verses 22-24:
22 Allah is He than whom there is no other
god, Who knows (all things) both secret and open; He is The Most Gracious Most
Merciful.
23 Allah is He than whom there is no other
god, The Sovereign, The Holy One, The Source of Peace (and Perfection), The
Guardian of Faith, The Preserver of Safety, The Exalted in Might, The
Irresistible, The Supreme: Glory to Allah! (High is He) above the partners they
attribute to Him.
24 He is Allah The Creator, The Evolver, The
Bestower of Forms. To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names: Whatever is in the
heavens and on earth doth declare His Praises and Glory: and He is The Exalted
in Might, The Wise.
What differentiates Islam from all other ways of life or
religions is that although in belief all other religions claim that there is
only one God, they have divided His Powers amongst many; and instead of
worshipping and devoting themselves to the One Lord Alone, they invoke and
worship images and idols and names of their self-invented ‘semi-gods/goddesses’
without any authority from the Creator.
For example, in Hinduism, they have given the Ministry of
Wealth to their goddess ‘Laxmi’, or the Ministry of Arts to goddess
‘Saraswati’, Ministry of Creation to their god ‘Brahma’, Ministry of
Destruction to their god ‘Shiva’, etc.
Some religions have made some amongst mankind God’s son, while others
have taken the pious men amongst them and made images out of them! Although most religions claim belief in the
One Lord Who Created, they invoke and worship these names and images and idols
with the same reverence and devotion that is due to the Lord Creator Alone in
the hope of getting closer to their Creator!
This one act of associating partners with the Creator is singled out by
the Lord as the absolute biggest injustice and abomination of His Rights.
God Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 31 Surah
Luqman verse 13: Join not in worship (others) with Allah:
for false worship is indeed the highest wrong-doing!
God says in the Quran: Chapter 4 Surah An-Nisa
Verse 48: Shirk (associating other deities with Allah) is the only sin that
Allah does not forgive, and He forgives, whomsoever He pleases, sins other than
this, for whosoever associates any other partner with Allah, does indeed forge
a big lie and commits the most heinous sin.
To every people in all times and ages, the Creator
appointed His Messengers amongst mankind and revealed His Message to them to
convey unto their people to shun all other man-made gods, goddesses, idols,
images, etc., and devote themselves exclusively to Him and Him Alone; for He
Alone is the One Who Has Absolute Power over everything in the Universe. If He Wills to bestow someone with His Mercy,
all the gods and all the creation in the universe can combine together, but
they would be unable to withhold His Mercy in the least; and if He Wills to put
someone in trial, all the goods and all of creation can combine together, but
they will not be able to remove the affliction!
Thus when The Creator Alone created us, and He Alone Provides and
Sustains us, does not He Alone deserve our devotion and worship?
God Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 35 Surah
Fatir verse 2: What Allah out of His Mercy doth bestow
on mankind there is none can withhold: what He doth withhold there is none can
grant apart from Him: and He is the Exalted in Power, Full of Wisdom.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah
Hajj verse73: O mankind! A parable is
related to you, so listen to it! Those on whom you call besides Allah, cannot create a fly, even though they may all combine together for
this purpose! Nay! If a fly snatches
away anything from them, they would have
no power to release it from the fly! How
weak are those who petition, and how
weak are those to whom they supplicate!
Whoever believes in the concept of The One and Only Lord
Creator, and believes in appointment of all His Messengers and all His Messages
would be considered a monotheist believer; and whoever amongst mankind invokes
and worships and devotes himself to the service of any other than the One Lord
Alone will be considered a polytheist unbeliever.
That is the basic difference between the monotheist belief
of the way of life called Islam compared to all the other religions in the
world.
Your Question: so i want to ask this question when any one
get married to muslim why islam wants them to convert their identiy (muslim)
why they can`t keep their own religion, God is one, is it allah permissiion or
it`s just tradition.
The base difference between those who believe, invoke,
worship and devote themselves exclusively to their Lord Creator Alone and those
who associate other deities with Him is so vast, and their way and approach to
life such poles apart, that the All-Knowing All-Wise Creator has prohibited
those who believe in Him Alone to commit themselves in the sacred and important
institution of marriage with one who is engaged in the unforgivable sin and
abomination of polytheism. The
prohibition for a believer to marry a polytheist is not simply a tradition but
a direct command from the Creator to those who have professed their belief in
His Absolute Oneness.
God Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah
Baqarah verse 221: Do not marry polytheist women until they
believe; a slave woman who believes is better
than an unbelieving woman even though she allure you. Nor marry (your girls) to polytheist
men until they believe: a man slave who believes is better than un
unbeliever even though he allure you.
The polytheists do (but) beckon you to the fire. But Allah beckons by His Grace to the Garden
(of Bliss) and forgiveness, and makes His Signs clear to mankind that they may
celebrate His Praise.
The one sin and abomination of ‘shirk’ or associating
other gods with the Creator is so heinous and so monstrous in the sight of the
Lord, that He has forbidden His Mercy and Forgiveness, and thus the Gardens of
Paradise, in the Hereafter for those who die in the state of polytheism! The relationship between a husband and a wife
in Islam is so sacred and sanctified, that there is a slight chance that the
believer who marries an idolator might be inclined to some actions of
polytheism and thus put himself and his children directly in harms way in the
realms of the Hereafter. Therefore the
All-Wise Lord has commanded those who believe in Him Alone not to marry an
idolator, unless and until they believe in the concept of the Absolute Oneness
of the Lord Most Gracious.
God says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah
Maidah verse 72: Whoever commits ‘shirk’ (associating others with Allah),
Allah shall forbid for him
Your Question: How come only it happens in muslim
religion, why not in others religion.
Although I cannot confirm the law of all the other religions
whether or not they allow their followers to marry into other religions, I will
accept your word that they do. Islam is
the only religion practiced on the face of this earth which believes in the
purest form of monotheism or the Absolute Oneness of the Lord Creator; all the
other religions are involved in polytheism or associating other deities with
the One God! Thus one who is already
invoking and worshipping multiple gods and goddesses would not have any problem
if their spouse invokes and worships a few more! But the base fundamental belief of a believer
is so dependant on the pure concept of monotheism, that it would be absolutely
unacceptable for him/her that their Lord Creator be invoked or worshipped with
other deities by someone as close as his own life-partner!
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
Your Brother in Islam,
Burhan
