Answer:

Hajj badl for sister

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Hadrat Abdullah ibn Abbas (r.a.) said: "A woman of (the tribe of) Khatham came to the Messenger of Allah (saws) and said, 'O Prophet of Allah (saws)! Allah has prescribed Hajj for His servants. (Now that) I am grown up, I find that my father is an old man, and he cannot ride on the camel (for long). Should I perform Hajj on his behalf?' The Prophet (saws) said: 'Yes.'" This happened during the Farewell Hajj.

If one is financially sound but does not possess the physical ability due to perpetual illness or old age to perform their obligatory Hajj pilgrimage, there is absolutely no harm if one amongst their loved one’s performs the Hajj for them.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
