Answer:
Was Adam (a.s.) a Prophet?
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is no one (no idol, no person, no
grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Your
Question: was he prophet since christians says he wasn`t a prophet the prophecy
begun from hazrat Ibrahim ......???
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah
Ale-Imran verse 33:
33 Allah did choose Adam, and Noah, the family of Abraham, and the
family of Imran above all people.
Time and time again Hadrat Adam’s (a.s.) name is mentioned
and taken along with the other Prophets in the Quran and the Sunnah. In light
of various Aayahs of the Glorious Quran and the authenthic Sunnah of the
Messenger of Allah (saws), it is the ardent belief of the Muslim Ummah that
Hadrat Adam (a.s.) was, without an iota of a doubt, a true Prophet of Allah
Subhanah.
Your
Statement: the prophecy begun from hazrat Ibrahim ......???
Of the Prophets mentioned in the Quran, Hadrat Adam
(a.s.), Hadrat Idris (a.s.), and Hadrat Noah (a.s.) pre-date Hadrat Ibraheem
(a.s.)! It is an absolutely false and
baseless claim of our Christian brethren that prophecy or prophethood began
with Prophet Ibraheem (a.s.). Although
only three Prophets (Adam, Idris, and Noah) are mentioned by name, Allah Alone
Knows how many Prophets He sent to guide man to His Truth before Prophet
Ibraheem (a.s.).
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah
Nisaa verses 164-165:
164 Of some Messengers We have already told thee the story; of others We
have not; and to Moses Allah spoke direct.
165 Messengers who gave good news as well as warning, that mankind after
(the coming) of the Messengers should have no plea against Allah: for Allah is
Exalted in Power, Wise.
Your
Question: Did Hazrat Adam (a.s) Teach us (mankind) anything about religion
(About Allah )
Beloved brother, all the Prophets who came before the Last
and Final Messenger, Mohamed ar-Rasool Allah (saws) did not come as ‘universal’
Prophets to mankind, but rather they were sent as Prophets only to a specific
people or area. If one studies the
Glorious Quran, one will realize this Truth by the quoted statements:
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 11 Surah
Hud verses 25-30:
25 We sent Noah to his people (with a mission): "I
have come to you with a Clear Warning:
26 "That ye serve none but Allah: verily I do fear for you the
Penalty of a Grievous Day."
27 But the Chiefs of the Unbelievers among his people said: "We
see (in) thee nothing but a man like ourselves: nor do we see that any follow
thee but the meanest among us in judgment immature: nor do we see in you (all)
any merit above us: in fact we think ye are liars!”
28 He (Nuh) said: "O my people! See ye if (it be
that) I have a Clear Sign from my Lord and that He hath sent Mercy unto me from
His own Presence but that the Mercy hath been obscured from your sight? Shall
we compel you to accept it when ye are averse to it?”
29 "And O my People! I ask you for no wealth in
return: my reward is from none but Allah: but I will not drive away (in contempt)
those who believe: for verily they are to meet their Lord and ye I see are the
ignorant ones!”
30 "And O my People! who would help me against Allah
if I drove them away? Will ye not then take heed?”
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 11 Surah Hud
verses 50-52:
50 To the `Ad People (We sent) Hud one of their own brethren. He said: "O my people! Worship Allah! ye have no other god but
Him. (Your other gods) ye do nothing
but invent!”
51 "O my people! I ask of you no reward for this (Message). My reward is from none but Him Who created
me: will ye not then understand?”
52 "And O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord and turn to Him (in repentance): He
will send you the skies pouring abundant rain and add strength to your
strength: so turn ye not back in sin!"
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 11 Surah
Hud verses 61-64:
61 To the Thamud People (We sent) Salih one of their own brethren. He said: "O my people! Worship Allah: ye have no other god but
Him. It is He Who hath produced you from
the earth and settled you therein: then ask forgiveness of Him and turn to Him
(in repentance): for my Lord is (always) near ready to answer."
62 They said: "O Salih! Thou
hast been of us! a center of our hopes hitherto! Dost thou (now) forbid us the
worship of what our fathers worshipped? But we are really in suspicious
(disquieting) doubt as to that to which thou invitest us."
63 He said: "O my people! Do ye see? If I have a
Clear (Sign) from my Lord and He hath sent Mercy unto me from Himself who then
can help me against Allah if I were to disobey Him? What then would ye add to
my (portion) but perdition?”
64 "And O my people! This she-camel of Allah is a symbol to you: leave her to feed on
Allah's (free) earth and inflict no harm on her or a swift Penalty will seize
you!”
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 11 Surah
Hud verses 84-85:
84 To the Madyan people (We sent) Shuaib one of their own brethren: he
said: "O my people! Worship Allah: ye have no other god but Him. And give not short measure or weight: I see
you in prosperity but I fear for you the Penalty of a Day that will compass
(you) all round.”
85 "And O my people! Give just measure and weight nor withhold from the people the
things that are their due: commit not evil in the land with intent to do
mischief.”
Thus if one studies the Verses of the Glorious Quran, all
the Prophets of Allah called upon only ‘their’ people; and it is absolutely
understandable that during these times the modes of travel were undeveloped,
and thus communication was absolutely limited to the people around them!
But when the time was right, Allah Subhanah revealed His
Last and Final Message of the Glorious Quran upon His Last and Final Messenger
Mohamed ar-Rasool Allah (saws) to be announced and declared universally to all
mankind! Thus the verses and the
Message of the Glorious Quran is addressed never to ‘my people’ but rather to
all of ‘mankind’ in general.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah
Zumar verse 41:
41 Verily We have revealed the Book (Al-Quran) to thee (O Mohamed
(saws)) in Truth for (instructing) mankind. He then that receives guidance benefits his
own soul: but he that strays injures his own soul. Nor art thou set over them to dispose of their affairs.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah
Nisaa verse 40:
170 O mankind! The Messenger (Mohamed (saws)) hath come to you in Truth from
Allah: believe in him: it is best for you.
But if ye reject faith to Allah belong all things in the heavens and on
earth: and Allah is All-Knowing All-Wise.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 14 Surah
Ibraheem verse 1:
1 Alif Lam Ra. A Book
(Al-Quran) which We have revealed unto thee (O Mohamed (saws)) in order that
thou mightest lead mankind out of the depths of darkness into
light by the leave of their Lord to the
Way of (Him) Exalted in Power Worthy of all Praise!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 14 Surah
Ibraheem verse 52:
52 Here is a Message (Al-Quran) for mankind: let them
take warning therefrom and let them know that He is (no other than) One Allah:
let men of understanding take heed.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah
Nisaa verse 1:
1 O mankind! Reverence your Guardian-Lord Who created you from a single person
created of like nature his mate and from them twain scattered (like seeds)
countless men and women; reverence Allah through Whom ye demand your mutual
(rights) and (reverence) the wombs (that bore you): for Allah ever watches over
you.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah
Hajj verse 1:
1 O mankind! Fear your Lord! For the convulsion of the Hour (of Judgment) will
be a thing terrible!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah
Nisaa verse 79:
79 Whatever good happens to thee (o mankind) is from Allah; but
whatever evil happens to thee is from thy (own) soul. And We have sent thee (O Mohamed (saws)) as a Messenger to
(instruct) mankind: and enough is Allah for a witness.
Your
Question: Did Hazrat Adam (a.s) Teach us (mankind) anything about religion
(About Allah )
Thus my beloved brother in Islam, Allah is a witness that
Hadrat Adam (a.s.) was a true Prophet of Allah, whom Allah had sent as His
Messenger to guide only his family and his people, who at that time were the
only inhabitants on earth, to the Straight Path of Allah Subhanah.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
Your brother and well wisher in
Islam,
Burhan
