Was Hajirah (RA) married to Prophet Ibrahim (AS) or she was a maid who gave child to the prophet?? Please give reference from Quran & Hadith.

Hajirah maid or wife of ibraheem

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: Was Hajirah (RA) married to Prophet Ibrahim (AS) or she was a maid who gave child to the prophet?? Please give reference from Quran & Hadith.
Although there is no specific mention in the Glorious Quran or the authentic and established Sunnah regarding the marriage of Prophet Ibraheem (a.s.) to Hadrat Hajarah, it is evident from the records of ‘ahaadeeth’ and books of history that Hadrat Ibraheem (a.s.) did indeed marry Hadrat Hajrah as his second wife.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 4.578 Narrated by Abu Huraira

I heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) say: ‘Prophet Ibraheem (a.s.) did not tell a lie except on three occasions. Twice for the sake of Allah when he said, "I am sick," and when he said, "(I have not done this but) the big idol has done it." The (third was) that while Ibraheem (a.s.) and Sarah (his wife) were going (on a journey) they passed by (the territory of) a tyrant king. Someone said to the tyrant king, "This man (i.e. Ibraheem (a.s.)) is accompanied by a very charming lady." So, he sent for Ibraheem (a.s.) and asked him about Sarah saying, "Who is this lady?" Ibraheem (a.s.) said, "She is my sister." Ibraheem (a.s.) went to Sarah and said, "O Sarah! There are no believers on the surface of the earth except you and I. This man asked me about you and I have told him that you are my sister, so don't contradict my statement." The tyrant king then called Sarah and when she went to him, he tried to take hold of her with his hand, but (his hand got stiff and) he was confounded. He asked Sarah. "Pray to Allah for me, and I shall not harm you." So Sarah asked Allah to cure him and he got cured. He tried to take hold of her for the second time, but (his hand got as stiff as or stiffer than before and) was more confounded. He again requested Sarah, "Pray to Allah for me, and I will not harm you." Sarah asked Allah again and he became alright. He then called one of his guards (who had brought her) and said, "You have not brought me a human being but have brought me a devil!" The tyrant then gave ‘Hajarah’ as a girl-servant to Sarah. Sarah came back (to Prophet Ibraheem (a.s.)) while he was praying. Ibraheem (a.s.), gesturing with his hand, asked, "What has happened?" She replied, "Allah has spoiled the evil plot of the infidel (tyrant king) and gave me ‘Hajarah’ for service." Abu Huraira then addressed his listeners saying, "That (Hajarah) was your mother, O Bani Ma-is-Sama (i.e. the Arabs, the descendants of Prophet Ismail (a.s.)"

Ibn Abbas (r.a.) said: 'Prophet Ibraheem (a.s.) brought Hajarah, his wife, and her son Ismail (a.s.), whom she was still nursing, and left them at (the site of) the House of Allah under a tree above the Zamzam. Makkah at that time was a place where there was neither water nor any dweller. He left a bag of dates and a container of water for them. Then Ibrahim (a.s.) turned to go away. Ismail's mother said to him, "O Ibraheem! Where are you going? And who are you leaving us to in this valley without a companion or a thing?" She repeated this several times but he did not respond. At last she asked him, "Has Allah commanded you to do so?" He answered, "Yes." Thereupon she said, "Then He will not let us perish!'' Ibraheem (a.s.) left and when he reached a mountain pass where he could no longer see them, he turned his face toward the Ka'bah and with his hands raised, supplicated, "O Our Lord! I have made of my progeny to dwell in a valley without cultivation by your Sacred House; in order Our Lord, that they may establish regular prayer: so fill the hearts of some among men with love towards them, and feed them with fruits, so that they may give thanks!" (Quran 14.37)

The books of Israelite history and passages of the present-day Bible indeed indicate

that upon the recommendation of Hadrat Sarah, Prophet Ibraheem (a.s.) did marry Hadrat Hajrah and subsequently she conceived the first-born and eldest son of Prophet Ibraheem (a.s.), Prophet Ismail (a.s.).

Bible Book of Genesis 16:3-4: ’[3] So after Abraham had been living in Canaan ten years, Sarah, his wife, took her Egyptian maidservant Hagar, and gave her to her husband to be his wife. [4] He slept with Hagar, and she conceived.’
