Husband forcing
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:
Salam,Will the husband be punished if he forces his wife to do the household work?if she doesnt do it will she be punsihed? will it be a disobedience to the husband? a hadiths which says "....women is the gurdian of her household" what does that mean?how to please the husband? for example, wife doesnt have to do the household work and she doesnt do it but husband wants to her to do it then only he is pleased by it...does that mean doing the household work and pleasing him will make women enter paradise?

Answer:
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Sister marriage in Islam is an amicable compromise wherein both the man and the woman strive to bring peace, harmony and understanding in their lives and home. Naturally and usually it is the man's responsibility to work and bring in the revenue for the expense and well being of the family. The wife's role is to look after the house and children, though this can be out-sourced if the husband can afford it. If the husband cannot afford this expense then it is only natural that the wife should help out.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
