The second coming of Jesus Isa.
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
(May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
We
know that Prophet Easa(AS) did not die. When all human beings should die, why
did he not die? Why is it that God chose that he should come back again on
earth, especially if he has fulfilled his mission? What is the concept behind
raising him to heaven
Also why did Easa(AS) not marry ? What about the life he is going through now?
Like us on earth is he just sitting like that, eating, sleeping, drinking or
what is he doing now, or what state is he now?
Kindly let me know and thanx.

Answer:
The second coming of
Jesus Isa
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.
Your
Question: …..We know that Prophet Easa(AS) did not die.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah
Nisaa verses 157-158:
157 That they (the Jews) said (in boast) "We killed Christ Jesus,
the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah"; but they killed him not
nor crucified him but so it
was made to appear to them; and those who differ therein are full of
doubts with no (certain) knowledge but only conjecture to follow; for of
a surety they killed him not.
158 Nay! Allah raised him up
unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise.
The All-Knowing, All-Wise Lord Has Himself related in
Truth in His Glorious Quran that the Noble Messenger of Allah, Hadrat Isa ibn
Maryam (a.s.) was neither crucified, nor was he killed, nor has he tasted the
inevitable element of death in the life of this world….yet.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah
Nisaa verse 159::
159 And there is none of the People of the Book but must believe in him (Prophet Isa ibn Maryam (a.s.)) before his
death; and on the Day of Judgment He will be a witness against them
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 4.658 Narrated by Abu Huraira
Allah's Messenger (saws) said "How will
you be when the son of Maryam (i.e. Prophet Isa (a.s.)) descends amongst you,
and he will judge people by the Law of the Qur'an and not by the law of
Gospel!”
Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 4310 Narrated by Abu Hurayrah
The Prophet (saws) said: ‘There is no prophet
between me and him, that is, Isa (a.s.). He (Isa (a.s.)) will descend (to the
earth). When you see him, recognise him: a man of medium height, reddish fair,
wearing two light yellow garments, looking as if drops were falling down from
his head though it will not be wet. He will fight the people for the Cause of
Islam. He will break the cross, kill swine, and abolish jizyah. Allah will
perish all religions except Islam. He will destroy the Ad-Dajjal and will live
on the earth for forty years and then
he will die. The Muslims will pray over him.’
Sahih Muslim Hadith 2877 Narrated by Abu Hurayrah
Hanzalah al-Aslami reported: ‘I heard Abu
Hurayrah as narrating from Allah's Messenger (saws) who said: ‘By Him in Whose
Hand is my life, Ibn Maryam (Isa (a.s.)) would certainly pronounce Talbiyah for
Hajj or for Umrah or for both in the valley of Rawha.’
Sahih Muslim Hadith 7023 (part) Narrated by Abdullah ibn Amr
…..He then reported that Allah's Messenger
(saws) said: ‘The Dajjal will appear in my Ummah and he will stay (in the
world) for forty—(I cannot say whether he meant forty days, forty months or
forty years.) Allah will then send Isa (a.s.),
son of Maryam, who will chase the Dajjal and kill him…….
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 5772 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Salam
The description of Muhammad is written in the
Torah, and also that Isa (a.s.), son of Mary, will be buried alongside him (beside the grave of Prophet Mohamed
(saws) in Madinah).
In light of the above guidance of the Quran and the
authentic and established Sunnah, it is evident that in the Sight, Plan, Will,
and Decree of the Lord Most High, the mission of the Noble Messenger of Allah,
Hadrat Isa ibn Maryam (a.s.) is not yet complete! What is absolutely certain is that when Allah
Subhanah Wills, Hadrat Isa ibn Maryam (a.s.) will descend from the heavens on
this earth, fulfill his prescribed mission, live on this earth for forty years,
will taste the inevitable element of death like all human beings, and will be
buried alongside Prophet Mohamed’s (saws) grave in Madinah.
Your
Question: ….Also why did Easa(AS) not marry ?
Whatever the believers know about the Noble Prophet Isa
ibn Maryam (a.s.) is whatever is related in Truth in the Glorious Quran and in
the authentic and established Sunnah of the Last and Final Messenger of Allah
(saws). Exactly what are the reasons why
the Noble Prophet Isa (a.s.) chose not to marry, or whether or not he will
marry during his second coming is known to none save Allah Subhanah Alone.
Your
Question: ……What about the life he is going through now? Like us on earth is he
just sitting like that, eating, sleeping, drinking or what is he doing now, or
what state is he now?
The exact state of the life of Prophet Isa ibn Maryam
(a.s.) after the Lord Most High chose to raise him to Himself is obviously from
amongst the knowledge of the ‘unseen’…..and that knowledge of the ‘unseen’ is
known to none save Allah Subhanah.
If the knowledge of the exact physical condition of the
Noble Prophet Isa ibn Maryam (a.s.) after he (a.s.) was raised by His Lord Most
High was important for the guidance of mankind to the Straight Path of Allah,
surely Allah Subhanah and His Last and Final Messenger (saws) would have made
it known to the believers!
If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and
commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),
one can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any
other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be
assured of being led astray.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.

well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
