Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.  (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Dear brother with the humble heart, May Almighty Allah guide you and increase you more and more in order to guide people like me. I would like to know whether Prophet Muhammed(saw) `s name appeared on Allah`s THRONE BEFORE ADAM (AS) was created by Allah.? I felt so certain about this and read that Allah commanded Adam (AS) to make darood for the seal of the prophets.apparently this is a weak Hadith. Please

Answer:

Was the Prohphet’s name before the creation of Adam a.s.?

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

May Allah Subhanah reward you with the best in the life of his world and in the Hereafter for your kind supplications for our humble and weak efforts. May Allah Subhanah increase yours and our knowledge in the deen of Islam, have Mercy on you and us, help and guide you and us, forgive us our short-comings, and save us all from the torment of the Hell Fire. Ameen.

Your statement: I would like to know whether Prophet Muhammed(saw) `s name appeared on Allah`s THRONE BEFORE ADAM (AS) was created by Allah.? I felt so certain about this and read that Allah commanded Adam (AS) to make darood for the seal of the prophets.apparently this is a weak Hadith. Please help.

There is no doubt that the Last Messenger of Allah, Mohamed ar-Rasool Allah (saws) is the Imam of the Prophets, and the Seal of all the Prophets of Allah Subhanah. But to believe in such beliefs that Allah commanded Prophet Adam (a.s.) to make durood for Prophet Mohamed (saws), or that his (saws) name appeared on the Magnificient Throne of Allah Subhanah, etc. are incorrect as they have absolutely no basis or evidence in the Quran and authentic Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (saws).

Some people have gone to extremes in their love of Prophet Mohamed (saws), and have claimed fantastic things and themes to prove his superiority over the other Prophets without any evidence from the Quran and Sunnah! The true believers, who sincerely fear Allah and the Last Day, must abstain from such extremes and believe only what is declared in the Quran and the authentic Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (saws).

The truth is that the above claims are not mentioned in any of the authentic narrations of the Messenger of Allah (saws), and if a hadith is declared ‘dhaeef’ (weak) or ‘marfu’ (fabricated); it is best to leave it alone!

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
