Answer:

Are males allowed to pierce ears

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His  forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Islam propagates the complete segregation of the males and females, in how they look, how they dress, etc.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) invoked the curse of Allah on the men who imitate women, and on the women who imitate men.

Thus anything that is specifically associated with the males of the society would be prohibited for the believing women to imitate; and anything that is specifically associated with the females would be prohibited for the believing men.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 7.769 Narrated by Ibn Abbas

The Prophet (saws) came out on the day of 'Id and offered a two-Rak'at prayer, and he did not pray any Rak'a before it, nor after it. Then he went towards the women and ordered them to give alms. The women started donating their earrings and necklaces.

Since piercing of the ears and/or the wearing of ear-rings is an act associated specifically with the females, it would not be permissible for the believing males to pierce their ears.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
