Salam please i want to ask if its proper to paste the SHAHADA on your car. Maassalam.

Answer:

Paste shahadah on car

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

The scholars and jurists in Islam are of the opinion that if one places, displays, or pastes a term of Allah’s Remembrance in any place of honor in one’s houses, or offices, or cars, or even on bill-boards on the roads, etc…there is absolutely no harm, provided the intention is that one who sees/reads it is exhorted to remember Allah Subhanah.

One should fear Allah and abstain from placing or displaying any term of Allah’s Remembrance where one fears it may be dishonored.

If one chooses to place or paste the ‘shahaadah’ in or on one’s car, and their intention is that they themselves and whoever else sees/reads it would be encouraged or exhorted to remember their Lord Most Exalted, there is absolutely no harm.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
