Please can you explain why Jews and Muslims are enemies? What is the exact reason for their hatred towards us? 

(There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.)

Answer:

Why Jews hate Muslims

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 45 Surah Jathiya verse 16:

16 We did aforetime grant to the Children of Israel the Book, the Power of Command, and Prophethood; We gave them for Sustenance things good and pure; and We favored them above (all) the nations.

Before the appointment of Prophet Mohamed (saws) as the Last and Final Messenger of Allah, almost all the Prophets in succession from Ibraheem (a.s.) to Isa (a.s.) were sent by Allah Subhanah as Guides towards the Jews. Instead of being humble and grateful for this greatest of all favors from their Lord, the Jews became arrogant and claimed that they alone were the chosen and guided ones for they alone were in possession of the Divine Law and Scriptures. In their arrogance and pride, they considered all the other nations ‘gentiles’ or ignorant of the Divine Law; and instead of being grateful to their Lord for His favors, they became puffed up with pride and in their false sense of superiority developed a hatred for anything and everything which was non-Jewish.

Your Question: What is the exact reason for their hatred towards us? 

Although today the hatred of the Jews towards the Muslims has taken a political flavor, their hatred stems from the fact that Allah Subhanah chose the Last and Final Messenger not from amongst the Jews, but from amongst the ‘gentile’ Arab nation.

Their arrogance and their pride as being the ‘chosen ones’ did not allow them to digest the Truth from their Lord; and instead of accepting and obeying the Divine Commands of their Lord, they in their utter arrogance, turned against the Decree of their Lord and refused to accept any Messenger who was critical of their wrongdoings in the name of religion, or who was not from amongst them.

The powerful ‘doctors of the Law’ or the Rabbis fought these Noble Messengers tooth and nail, and left no stone unturned in destroying their Mission; so much so that in their arrogance and defiance they even instigated the killing of the Noble Prophets who were sent to them as guides like Hadrat Zakariyya (a.s.) and Hadrat Yahya (a.s.), and they left no stone unturned in trying to kill Prophet Isa (a.s.) and even Prophet Mohamed (saws)!

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verse 82:

82 Strongest among men in enmity to the believers wilt thou find the Jews and the Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say: "We are Christians:" because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world and they are not arrogant.

Thus the root cause of the hatred of the Jews towards the believers is none other than the Decision and Decree of Allah Subhanah to remove the station of Prophethood from the Jews and grant and bestow this noble station to the gentile ‘Arab’ nation; and unless and until they accept and submit to this Decision of their Lord All-Mighty their enmity against those who believe will remain until the end of their time!

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
