Transfer for re-burial place
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
(May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
This
is indeed a lesson for our todays muslims who are literally living in
accumulating the wealth and still find it too little and their greed hardly
seems to end.
I have
a question for you Brother and thatb is as follows"
Can
one remove a body from the grave and transfer for re-burial in a different
country. Is it allowed in our great religion? I await your response.
Thanks.

Answer:
Transfer for
re-burial place
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and
whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness
that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Ordinarily if one is buried in a Muslim graveyard with the
permissions of the deceased's heirs then it is not advisable to transfer the
corpse for re-burial in another country or place.
However, in a situation wherein the burial has been made
in an area where the grave will be dishonored for any reason, or in an area of
unbelievers where there is a fear of desecration of the grave or if the burial
was carried out without the consent of the deceased's heirs then there is no
harm if a re-burial is done in another country or place.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is only
ones. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.

well wisher in Islam,
