this question:
As salam mu allai kum,
Is the following hadith a Sahi hadith?

Answer:
Hadith abi taalib
sun moon
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help
and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and
whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness
that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Respected brother, although the above statement attributed
to the Noble Prophet Mohamed (saws) is found in almost all the books of Seerah
(biography), to the best of our knowledge we have not found this statement
recorded in any of the six well known records of authentic (sahih) hadith.
And although it seems probable that in context with the
Prophet’s (saws) conversation with his uncle Abi Talib, he (saws) could have
declared this statement, because it is not specifically recorded in the
‘saha-sitta’ (authentic hadiths), it cannot be verified as ‘sahih’. And Allah
Alone Knows Best.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.
Your brother and
well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
