In the name of Allah,
We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah
guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide
them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah
Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the
seal of His Messengers.
If has decoration or text with
the blessed Names of Allah Subhanah on His Messenger (saws) on it, or even an
old and torn copy of the Holy Quran and wishes to dispose them honorable, one
may do so one of three ways:
- Bury the item in the ground.
- Dispose it in the sea.
- Burn them.
In our humble opinion, the best
and most honorable way of disposal is to burn them. If one buries them in the ground or disposes
them in the sea, there is a chance that it might survive and perchance someone
may intentionally or unintentionally dishonor them. And Allah Alone Knows Best.
Whatever written of
Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever
of error is of me alone. Allah Alone
Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
