Man can force his wife to have sex with him..
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
(May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
Non muslims often
refer to the following hadith as rape.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 4.460 Narrated by Abu Huraira
Allah`s Messenger (saws) said, "If a husband calls his wife to his bed
(i.e.
to have sexual relation) and she refuses and causes him to sleep in anger,
the Angels will curse her till morning."
.. and that man can force his wife to have sex with him..
Ive read elsewhere the below:
"Quoting Quran, Dr Amin says that a husband has to take the consent of his
wife for physical relationship."
Any ideas what chapter and verse this is?

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.

Beloved brother in Islam, if one uses basis common sense,
one would realize that if Islam gave permission, or allowed, or encouraged the
concept that a husband is allowed or permitted to force his wife to have sexual
relations with him, there would have been absolutely no need to declare such
rewards and warnings to the spouses bonded in the sacred bond of marriage!
The only lawful route in Shariah for both, the man and the
woman, to fulfill their natural physical desire for sex is through the sacred
institution of marriage; and Islam enjoins both the husband and the wife to
fear Allah their Lord, fulfill the duties and responsibilities that have been
laid on each in the marriage, and basically leave no stone unturned in
fulfilling each others lawful needs, wants, and desires in their sacred bond.

To the best of our knowledge, we are not aware of any such
verse or guidance in the Holy Quran; but it is obvious from the various
guidance available in the Quran and the Sunnah that the wife (nor the husband)
should refuse the invitations of their spouse when they are invited by the
other to fulfill their lawful desires.
If one is bonded in a marriage where the wife constantly
refuses her husband’s invitations (or vice versa), both parties are well within
their rights in Islam to seek a separation through the institution of divorce.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.
