Answer:
Does dying man know
he's dying
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 8 Surah
Anfaal verses 50-51:
50 If (only) thou couldst see when the Angels take the souls of the
unbelievers (at death) (how) they smite their faces and their backs (saying):
"Taste the penalty of the blazing fire
51 Because of (the deeds) which your (own) hands sent forth: for Allah
is never unjust to His servants.”
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah
Anaam verse 93:
93 Who can be more wicked than one who inventeth a lie against Allah or
saith "I have received inspiration" when he hath received none or
(again) who saith "I can reveal the like of what Allah hath
revealed?" If (only) thou couldst but see how the wicked (do fare) in the
flood of confusion at death! The Angels
stretch forth their hands (saying) "Yield up your souls. This day shall ye receive your reward a
penalty of shame for that ye used to tell lies against Allah and scornfully
reject His Signs!"
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 79 Surah
Naziat verses 1-2:
1 By the (Angels) who tear out (the souls
of the wicked at death) with violence;
2 By those (Angels) who gently draw out
(the souls of the blessed).
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 1627 Narrated by Abu Hurayrah
The Prophet (saws) said, "The Angels are
present with one who dies, and if a
believer dies, they say, 'Come out,
good soul, which was in the good
body; come out praiseworthy and be
happy with rest and provision and a Lord Who is not angry.' That continues to be said to it till it
comes out. It is then taken up to
Heaven and the door is opened for it. The Angels are asked who this is and reply
that he is so and so, whereupon these words are spoken: 'Welcome, good soul, which was in the good body; enter
praiseworthy and be happy with rest and provision and a Lord Who is not angry.'
That continues to be said to it till it comes to the Heaven where Allah
is. But when it is a disbeliever it is
said, 'Come out, wicked soul, which was
in the wicked body; come out
blameworthy and be grieved by a boiling liquid, one dark and intensely
cold, and other kinds of its
type.' That continues to be said to it
till it comes out. It is then taken up
to Heaven, and the door is asked to be opened for it. The question will be asked who this is and the reply given that
it is so and so, whereupon these words are spoken: 'There is no welcome for the wicked soul which was in the wicked
body; go back blameworthy, for the gates of Heaven will not be opened
for you.' It will then be sent away
from Heaven and comes to the grave (for torment)."
Your Question: my Q
is tht when a person is dying does he knows that he is dying or does he sees
something extra ordinary?
In light of the above quoted guidance of the Quran and the
Sunnah, it is evident that a person who is at the absolute end of his life, and
the Angel of Death appointed by the Lord are taking out his soul, not only
knows his life on this earth has come to an end, but he can well hear the words
spoken by the Angels at that time when his soul is being extracted from his
body.
But what a dying person sees or experiences of the truth
at his absolute threshold of death, it is too late for him to relate what he
sees or experiences then to those who are alive.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chatper 75 Surah
Qiyaamah verses 26-30:
26 Yea when (the soul at death) reaches to
the collar-bone (in its exit)
27 And there will be a cry "Who is a
magician (to restore him)?"
28 And he (the dying) will conclude that it is
(the time) of parting;
29 And one leg will be joined with another
(in agony of death)
30 That day the drive will be to thy Lord!
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
