Salamu
alaykum
I know
there is an authentic hadith that says 999 out of 1000 human beings (i.e.
mankind) will go to the hellfire.
So
what chances do we have of actually getting into Janna right away without
touching the hellfire?

Answer:
999 in hell fire
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 6.265 Narrated by Abu Said Al Khudri
The Prophet (saws) said, "On the day of
Resurrection Allah will say, 'O Adam!'
Prophet Adam (a.s.) will reply, 'Labbaik my Lord, and Sa'daik.' (I respond to Your Calls, I am obedient to Your Orders), Then there will be a loud call (saying),
'Allah orders you to take out (or assign) from among your offspring a mission
for the (Hell) Fire.' Adam (a.s.) will
say, 'O Lord! Who are the mission for the (Hell) Fire?' Allah will say, 'Out of
each thousand, take out 999.' Then Prophet
Mohamed (saws) recited the Verse of the Quran (22:2): ‘The Day ye shall see it every mother giving suck shall forget her
suckling-babe and every pregnant female shall drop her load (unformed): thou
shalt see mankind as in a drunken riot yet not drunk: but dreadful will be the
Wrath of Allah.’
(When the Prophet mentioned this), the companions
were so distressed (and afraid) that their faces got changed color, whereupon
the Prophet (saws) said, "From the tribes of Yajuj and Majooj nine-hundred
ninety-nine will be taken out (or assigned) and one from you! You Muslims
(compared to the large number of other people) will be like a black hair on the
side of a white ox, or a white hair on the side of a black ox, and I hope that
you will be one-fourth of the people of

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 103 Surah
Al-Asr verses 1-3:
1 By time!
2 Verily! Man is in (severe) loss
3 Except such as have Faith, and do righteous deeds, and (join
together) in the mutual teaching of the Truth, and of Patience and Constancy.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 79 Surah
Naziat verses 34-41:
34 Therefore when there comes the Great Overwhelming Event(The Day of
Judgment)
35 The Day when man shall remember (all)
that he strove for
36 And Hell-Fire shall be placed in full
view for (all) to see
37 Then for such as had transgressed all
bounds
38 And had preferred the life of this world
39 The Abode will be Hell-Fire;
40 And for such as had entertained the fear of standing before their
Lord's (Tribunal), and had restrained (their) soul from lower desires
41 Their abode will be the Garden.
Dear and beloved brother in Islam, if Allah Subhanah Wills
to accept one’s sincere faith whereby one did not associate any partner with
Allah, accepts the good righteous deeds one did for the Sake and Pleasure of Allah
Alone, and accepts one’s sincere ‘taqwa’ and piety and fear which the believer
engrossed himself in the life of this
short and transitory world…..and Allah Subhanah Wills to bestow His Infinite Mercy
and Grace upon such a believer….Allah is our witness brother, Allah Subhanah
will overlook the shortcomings of such a person, and the chances of such a
believer entering Paradise is 100%!
Sahih Muslim Hadith 6499 Narrated by Abu Dharr
Allah's Messenger (saws) said: that Allah,
the Exalted and Glorious, stated: 'He who comes with goodness, there are in
store for him ten like those and even more than those; And he who comes with
vice, it is only for that that he is called to account. I even forgive him as I
like, and he who draws close to Me by the span of a palm I draw close to him by
a cubit, and he who draws close to Me by a cubit I draw close to him by the
space (covered) by two hands, and he who walks towards Me I rush towards him, and
he who meets Me in the state that his sins fill the earth, but not associating
anything with Me, I would meet Him with the same (vastness) of pardon (on My
behalf)."
Hadith Qudsi 34
The Messenger of Allah (saws) said that Allah
Subhanah, High and Exalted He is, says: ‘O son of Adam, so long as you call
upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall
not mind. O son of Adam, were your
sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me,
I would forgive you. O son of
Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were
you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness
nearly as great at it.’
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2339 Narrated by Abu Sa'id
Allah's Messenger (saws) said that the
Shaytaan said, "By Thy Might, my Lord, I shall continue to lead Thy
servants astray as long as their spirits are in their bodies." The Lord, Who is Great and Glorious, replied,
"By My Might, Glory and Exalted Station, I shall continue to pardon
them as long as they ask My forgiveness."
Ahmad transmitted it.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.476 Narrated by Abu Huraira
I heard Allah's Messenger (saws) saying:
‘Verily Allah created Mercy! The day He created ‘Mercy’, He made it into one
hundred parts. He withheld with Him ninety-nine parts (to be utilized for the
believers on the Day of Judgment), and sent its one part to all His creatures
(in the life of this world). Had the non-believer known of all the Mercy which
is in the Hands of Allah, he would not lose hope of entering Paradise, and had
the believer known of all the punishment which is present with Allah, he would
not consider himself safe from the Hell-Fire."
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.

well wisher in Islam,
