I have a 4 year old cousin who has recently been losing her hair.
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's
Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:
Salam
I have a
4 year old cousin who has recently been losing her hair. Now all of her hair
has fallen out and she is completely bald. She has a disease called Alopecia
and the doctor has said there is no cure and that she has to wear a wig. He
also said that it would be a miracle if her hair grew back. Is there a Duaa
which can help her regain her hair. I have tried to e-mail you before but have
received no reply. Please answer as soon as possible.
Thank
you,
Yours
sincerely

Answer:
Losing
Hair
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is no one (no idol, no person, no
grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad
(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Dear and beloved sister, when Allah Subhanah afflicts one
amongst His slaves with an affliction, one should seek the best available
remedial help to cure that ailment; and remain constant in their supplications,
trust, and hope in the Might and Power of their Lord Most Gracious.
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 1566 Narrated by Anas ibn Malik
Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "The
magnitude of the reward goes along with the magnitude of the affliction. When
Allah who is Great and Glorious loves people He afflicts them, and those who
accept it gladly receive Allah's good pleasure, but those who are displeased
receive Allah's displeasure.
Thus my beloved sister, if one amongst your loved one is
afflicted with an incurable disease, know with conviction that it is Allah who
is testing the person and her loved ones to see what they do during their
period of trial. How the person and
their loved ones bear this trial from their Lord will determine their result in
the Sight of their Lord Most Gracious.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah
Baqarah verses 155-157:
155 Be sure We shall test you with something of fear, and
hunger, some loss in goods, or lives, or the fruits (of your toil); but give
glad tidings to those who patiently persevere.
156 Who say when afflicted with calamity: "To Allah we belong
and to Him is our return."
157 They are those on whom (descend) blessings from Allah and Mercy, and
they are the ones that receive guidance.
Your
Question: Is there a Duaa which can help her regain her hair.
Amongst the best supplications is the one which was made
by the Noble Prophet Ayyub (a.s.), when he was severely tested by Allah in the
loss of his health and his wealth.
Allah is our witness, there is no supplication a believer makes with
humility, sincerity and hope which is not answered by their Lord Most Gracious,
Most Merciful.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 21 Surah
Anbiyaa verses 83-84:
83 And (remember) Ayyub when he cried to his Lord "Truly
distress has seized me but Thou art the Most Merciful of those that are
merciful."
84 So We listened to him: (and) We removed
the distress that was on him.
Recite the above dua of Prophet Ayyub (a.s.) as often as
you can, and if the Lord Wills and Pleases, He will remove the distress from
his believing slaves; for He Alone indeed has Power over all things.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
