My suggestion is that you should limit the number of questions posted on the basis of how many you can answer in a reasonable time
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa
Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our
brothers/sisters has asked this question:
Brother Burhan, Salam
My suggestion is that you should limit the number of questions posted on the
basis of how many you can answer in a reasonable time. The current situation is
that people around the world keep submitting questions and at any time the
number of un-answered questions are in thousands. We understand that as a human
being you have certain limitations and it is not possible to answer all the
questions within few days. So why don`t you limit the number of questions per
day so that you can answer them with convenience. I have observed that most
other Islamic sites use a limiting factor on the number of questions that can
be posted.
(There may be some grammatical and
spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from
questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in
confidentiality.)
Answer:
Limit Questions on site
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help
and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and
whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness
that there is no one (no idol, no person,
no grave, no prophet, no
imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone,
and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of
His Messengers.
Dear and Beloved Brother in Islam, may Allah
Subhanah bless and reward you for your valuable suggestion and advice in your
efforts to enhance and support our humble efforts. It is indeed true that at times it is not
humanly possible to answer all the questions that are asked on this humble
forum promptly, and it did occur to some brothers that maybe we should put a
ceiling to how many questions can be asked per day so that each query of our
esteemed brothers and sisters seeking knowledge in the deen are answered
promptly.
The only thing that stopped the moderators from
following this path of limiting questions was that at times, some matters asked
require absolute immediate responses…especially if they relate to marriage,
divorce, inheritance, faith, or even in some extreme cases, where one is so
distressed with the trials of life that he/she is contemplating suicide or
murder!
Beloved brother, we assure you that we are doing
everything in our capacity and capability to answer all the questions received on
the forum on a timely basis…but invariably, in spite of our best efforts, we always
fall short and are unable to do justice and serve our beloved brethren to their
satisfaction. We sincerely and humbly
seek the forgiveness of our beloved brethren and of our Lord Most Merciful for
our severe shortcomings in the service of His Deen and we assure you that we
shall redouble our efforts to improve the situation.
Beloved brother, may Allah Subhanah bless and
reward you for your genuine concern and your invaluable comments and suggestion
that help us to further serve in the noble Cause of our Merciful Lord, albeit
in this most insignificant and humble way.
We humbly seek your understanding and your forgiveness and the
forgiveness of our Lord Most Gracious for our severe shortcomings, and in all
humility and fear hope and pray that our Lord Most Merciful will accept our
humble efforts in spite of all our shortcomings, and take us not to account for
something which is beyond or capacity.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due
to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
Your brother and well
wisher in Islam,
Burhan
