put it down when shahada is finished. but I noticed that some people raise and lower there finger
repeatedly during shahada and during the ibraheemeah.

of that and do you know where they get there idea from,or
is it bida?

Answer:
Raising a finger in
while reciting Shahada in Tashahud
In the name of Allah, We praise
Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none
can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.
We bear witness that there is no one (no idol,
no person, no grave, no
prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone,
and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of
His Messengers.
May Allah Subhanah
reward you with the best for your kind supplications for us and our humble
works in the propagation of the knowledge of Truth. All Praise is due to Allah Subhanah Alone who has guided His slaves to Islam. May Allah Subhanah
accept yours and our humble deeds, forgive us our short-comings, and save us
all from the torment of the Hell Fire. Ameen.
All the scholars of Islam are
unanimous in their opinion that the finger should only be raised while
declaring the shahaadah or testification
of faith; as taught to the believers by the Messenger of Allah (saws).
All the other variations like
repeatedly raising the finger during the tashahud, or
raising it again during the durood or ibraheemeah are not from the accepted Sunnah,
and must be avoided by the believers.
Whatever written of Truth and
benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error
is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.
Your Brother in Islam,
Burhan
