I would like to know why the Houston Jamaat members pride themselves and call it a red day in the annals of the jamaat's history for their meeting with Bill Clinton. He is a man of such character that even christian religious leaders of his own country stoppped meeting with him preceding his assent on perverted and extra marital sexual behaviour. Yet Aqa Maula's son and his jamaat members found pride and critical reason enough to meet with this guy and repeatedly call it a red day in the annals of their history. Their meetings with him coincide on dates following his admitting to unlawful and unethical sexual behaviour with his intern. It came to my attention that a play was conducted in Saifi Mahal, one on political issues. I always felt that the members of Aqa Maula's family were supposed to eschew politics, and confine their studies and pursue Ilm e Ale Mohammed, and submerge themselves in the holy scriptures of Islam? I heard that the play called on for actors to act out "Bill Clinton" and "Monica Lewinsky", not being absurd enough to have these people depicted in the precints of Saifi Mahal...the play was held before Aqa Maula himself, i question are we trying to annoy Aqa Maula, for i know for a fact that dramas or comedies depicting Bill and Monica have been banned from even Buddist schools, and to have them depicted in the very house where the most spiritual man of our time lives and sleeps??

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Brother, this forum’s mission is never to comment and give opinions on what the leadership of the Dawoodi Bohra do or don’t do to gain more power and wealth in this worldly life. That is their choice, and we are not here to expose any mis-doings of the leadership in regard to this world.

Our concern is more with Allah has to say about ‘imaan’, faith, tawheed, shirk, etc. giving evidence at all times from either the Holy Quran and the authentic narrations of the Messenger of Allah (saws).

Thus the best people to forward this question is to the Dawoodi Bohra leadership themselves, and get their clarifications for the acts they do in this world. If what you say is indeed true, it obviously has very little to do with Islam and its guidance… and thus of absolutely no interest to those who fear Allah and the Last Day. The truth is that for a true mu’min, who indeed fears Allah and the Last Day, the meeting with a reputed adulterous should by no means be a ‘red day’ in the annuls of their Jammat’s history! If this is their sign of piety and God-consciousness, Allah have mercy on those who believe that these are the people who have been chosen by Allah Himself to guide them to the Truth of the Quran!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 57 Surah Hadid verses 20-21: Know it well that the life of this world is nothing but a sport and a pastime, and a show, and a thing of boasting among yourselves, and a rivalry in wealth and children. Its example is of vegetation after a shower of rain, which delights the tillers; then the same ripens and you see it turn yellow; then it becomes straw. Contrary to this, in the life to come there is severe torment; and forgiveness from Allah and His good pleasure. The life of this world is nothing but an illusionary screen.

Thus leave these people to collect their wealth and their power in this transitory world … For a believer, who indeed fears Allah and the Last Day, his mission and goal should be to work towards the Mercy and Forgiveness of Allah Subhanah.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 70 Surah Mairaj verses 42-44: Therefore, leave them engrossed in their vain talk and sport, until they encounter that Day of theirs which they are being promised; when they shall be rushing out of their graves as though they are racing towards the shrines of their deities. Their eyes shall be downcast and abasement shall be covering them. That is the Day they are being promised.

Here, Allah clearly commands, to leave these people engrossed in their vain talk, and their sport… until the Day of Judgment, when Allah Alone will decide with the Truth as stated in the Holy Quran.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 29 Surah Ankaboot verse 64: And the life of this world is nothing but a sport and a pastime. The home of real life is indeed the Hereafter. Would that these people knew (what awaits them)!

Those who have taken this worldly life as their real home, and exert their utmost to gain more and more wealth and more power, do not realize that the real abode for the believers is the Hereafter… Thus leave them engrossed in their sport and plays…. Until they come face to face with the reality as promised by Allah in the Quran.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Surah Aaraaf verses 50-51: (On the Day of Judgement) The inmates of Hell will cry out to the people of Paradise: “Pour upon us a little water or throw down a bit of the provisions Allah has bestowed upon you.” The people of Paradise will reply, “Allah has forbidden both these things to the disbelievers, who had made their religion a sport and a pastime, and who had been deluded by the worldly life.” Then Allah will say, “Today We will forget them just as they forgot the meeting of this Day, and rejected Our Revelations.”

If the leadership states that by meeting a person like Bill Clinton, some muslims feel honored enough to call it a ‘red day’ in their annuls of history; let them make a mockery out of their religion! They do this because they are deluded by their wealth and their power in this worldly life, and have forgotten that it is to Allah that all of us have to return, and then He will Judge us according to Promises He has made in the Holy Quran.

And Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
