Can jewish visit Makkah.

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Hello,
I would like to ask:

I am jewish, but before few years i´ve married a muslim man, and thanks G-d, we like in peace and harmony. My husband decided to go for a hajj this year, and asked me to accompany him, but we are not sure if it is possible to a non-muslim enter the area of Kabah and even pray together with other people there, despite he it my husband. Because i respect the muslim people, although i am jewish, and i feel right to go to mekka, if i have an opportunity to go to, as same for exapmle as to visit jerusalem, or other places holy to both religions. thank you so much, and nice friday to all of you, sallam.

Answer:

Can jewish visit Makkah

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Respected sister, Allah Subhanah and His Messenger (saws) have Commanded the custodians of Makkah and Madinah to prohibit the visit to these two Holy Sites by any except the Muslims.

Thus sister, even though you may be married to a Muslim, it would not be lawful for you to visit either Makkah or Madinah. Besides, the penalties imposed by the current government on a non-Muslim who enters Makkah or Madinah is quite harsh, thus our humble advice to you is to abstain from visiting Makkah or Madinah unless you are a Muslim.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
