Convince parents for marriage
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
There is absolutely no harm in liking the boy, but you must abstain from talking with the boy in private as the avowed enemy of man, the Shaitaan, may lead this innocent talking to temptation and events which one may not be able to control.
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 3118 Narrated by Umar ibn al-Khattab
The Prophet (saws) said, "Whenever a man is alone with a (non-mehram) woman, the Shaitaan makes a third."
The best would be if the boy can send his parents to your parents asking for your hand in marriage; and you give your approval when your parents ask you regarding the proposal. And if they ask you whether you know the boy from before, you can tell them the truth of the matter. This would be the most righteous and noble way of introducing the boy to your parents.
Your Question: p.s if they said no what should i do?
When the parents of the boy themselves come and ask for your hand in marriage for their son, and they are happy with their sons choice; under normal circumstances, there would no reason why your parents would reject a good proposal, especially when they see that even their daughter is happy with the proposal.
But if your parents give you a reason for their refusal of the proposal, you must realize that there is no one in the world who are your better well-wishers than your parents; and you must give importance to their reasons and opinions. In the mean time, what you should and can do is constantly supplicate to Allah Subhanah and beg him to bring about what is best for you in this world, and in the Hereafter.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
Your Brother in Islam,
