Will foundlings go to Hell?

Dear Brothers & Sisters,
As-Salaamu-Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:
Does the hadeeth “All flesh that grew from haraam, the Fire is more suited for it” apply to foundlings?.
(There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.)

Answer:
Praise be to Allaah.

The hadeeth mentioned is general with regard to consuming haraam things, and it is one of the ahaadeeth that contain a warning. It does not include foundlings at all, because the foundling has committed no sin, so neither he nor anyone else can be held to account for the sin of another. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“no bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another”

[al-An’aam 6:164]

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah's Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
