Assalmu-alaikum
Is there any thing wrong with me opening a TEXT Q & A service on Islam,
where people will text in their questions, and i will answer them/and/or refer
them to external services.
Please note that i am not a sheikh, i am just a Muslim.
I know that i cannot give a Fatawa, but can i answer basic questions such as
pillars of Islam, and other such questions?
Please advise me ASAP. As i do think such a service would benefit the Ummah.
Jazak Allah Kheyran dear brother.

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.
The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: ‘Relate
from me, even if only one Aayah!’
Respected brother in Islam, it is the duty of every
believer who sincerely believes in Allah and the Last Day to propagate the
Truth from the Quran and the Sunnah to any who are willing to listen to good
caution……one need not be a ‘mufti’, or an ‘aalim’, or a scholar, or a shekh to
propagate the Truth….if one knows even only one Verse of the Glorious Quran or
only one authentic statement from the Prophet (saws), one should not hesitate
to share it with others.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale
Imran verse 110:
110 Ye (believers) are the best of peoples evolved for mankind,
enjoining what is right forbidding what is wrong and believing in Allah.
Allah says in the Holy Quran: Chapter 16, Surah
An-Nahl Ayat 125:
Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and
excellent admonition and argue with people in the best manner. Your Lord knows
best who has gone astray from His Way and who is Rightly guided.
Respected brother in Islam, if your sole intention in
starting a ‘text q&a’ service is only to earn the Pleasure and Good Will of
your Lord Most Gracious…..and you sincerely believe that this service will be
beneficial to the Ummah, do take the Blessed Name of Allah Subhanah and
immediately start the service in the Cause of the Lord. If even only one person is guided to the Truth
of Islam or comes closer to Allah Subhanah because of your efforts, we assure
you brother that would be better for you than the world and whatever it
contains!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 47 Surah
Muhammad verse 7:
7 O ye who believe! if ye will help (the Cause of) Allah He will help
you, and plant your feet firmly (in His Way).
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 5.521 Narrated by Sahl bin Sad
The Prophet (saws) said to Hadrat Ali (r.a.)
ibn Ali Taalib: ‘………….. By Allah, even if a single person is led on the Right
Path (of Islam) by Allah through you, then that will be better for you than the
nicest red camels (the most prized possessions)!"
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.
Your brother and
well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
