Is UAE a muslim nation.

this question:

In one
of the answers to a question, u happned to mention this "If you live in a muslim nation like
the UAE,". What do you mean by a muslim nation?? is it where islamic
sharia is followed?? then UAE is not such a place. Please clarify,

Answer:
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.
Respected brother, it is indeed unfortunate that although
50+ nations or countries of the world today claim to be ‘muslim’ nations, to
the best of our knowledge not even one amongst them has been able to apply
Shariah Law in its entirety in their countries!
When one says that such and such a country is a ‘muslim’
nation today, it only implies that the majority of the its citizens and/or its
rulers claim to be believers….under no circumstances did we mean to imply that
the UAE or any other nation has been successful in implementing the Laws of
Shariah in its entirety in their lands.
We
sincerely apologize if our statements might have given rise to any confusions
or misunderstandings…for Allah is our witness, that was never our intention.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.
