Suppose a muslim likes a non-muslim (hindu) girl and wants to marry.
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
(May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:
Suppose
a muslim likes a non-muslim (hindu) girl and wants to marry her but the girl
gets married to someone else then is it ok for that boy to pray to Allah for
that girl to get converted to islam and that they get married? Also for how
long should the boy wait for that girl and pray for the same?

errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from

Answer:
Loved married woman
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad
(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Dear and beloved brother in Islam, although there is
absolutely no harm if a believer makes sincere supplications to Allah Subhanah
to guide their non-believing brethren to the Truth of Islam; it would not
behove and befit a believer to make supplications to Allah Subhanah to guide a
married ‘mushrik’ woman only so that he may then marry her! If one indeed wills good for their
non-believing brethren, one should make supplications to guide her and her
family all to the Truth of Al-Islam….that would be akin to righteousness in the
Sight of Allah Subhanah.
Besides, it would be absolutely unlawful for a believer
who sincerely believes in Allah and the Last Day to covet a married woman.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah
Nisaa verses 23-24:
23 Prohibited to you (for marriage) are: your mother, daughters,
sisters, father's sisters, mother's sisters, brother's daughters, sister's
daughters, foster-mothers (who gave you suck), foster-sisters, your wives'
mothers, your step-daughters under your guardianship born of your wives to whom
ye have gone in no prohibition if ye have not gone in; (those who have been)
wives of your sons proceeding from your loins; and two sisters in wedlock at
one and the same time, except for what is past; for Allah is Oft-Forgiving Most
Merciful.
24 Also (prohibited to you are) women already married except those whom your right hands possess. Thus hath Allah ordained (prohibitions)
against you: except for these all others are lawful provided ye seek (them in
marriage) with gifts from your property desiring chastity not lust. Seeing that ye derive benefit from them give
them their dowers (at least) as prescribed; but if after a dower is prescribed
ye agree mutually (to vary it) there is no blame on you and Allah is
All-Knowing All-Wise.
If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and
commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),
one can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any
other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be
assured of being led astray.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
Your brother and
well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
