I want to ask you that if a married woman who is not happy with her marriage life but still compromising with her married life to go on, meets another man and falls in love.

One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
I want
to ask you that if a married woman who is not happy with her marriage life but
still compromising with her married life to go on, meets another man and falls
in love, and does not commit any sin, I mean, no bodily interaction, but just
loving that person in heart and that person also knowing that she loves him,
and he also loves her, is this a wrong action or sin according to Islam?? I may
mention that this woman is only compromising with her married life for her
children`s sake and do not want to get a divorce from her husband. Is loving
another man besides husband is a sin or not?

Answer:
Loving another after marriage
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Dear and beloved Sister in Islam, when one man and one
woman bind and unite themselves to the sacred institution of marriage, it would
neither be morally right nor righteousness that one amongst them starts an
unlawful relationship with another out of marriage. Allah is our witness sister, the forming of
such a secret and lewd intrigue with another out of marriage would be amongst
the gravest crimes and sins a human being can commit in the Sight of Allah
Subhanah!
If one unfortunately finds oneself in an unhappy marriage,
and chooses to honestly commit to their marriage and compromises only for the
sake of Allah or their children, and bears their condition with patience….they
shall have their due reward for their patience with Allah Subhanah.
But if for any reason one does not wish to compromise,
Islam has left open the route of divorce, whereby one may free herself from her
marriage contract and choose to marry anyone she wills to marry. But to choose to remain married with one
person, and form an initiate or a secret and unlawful relationship with another
person out of marriage, would indeed be a grave sin and an absolute abomination
in the Sight of Allah Subhanah.
Your
Question:…..meets another man and falls in love, and does not commit any sin, I
mean, no bodily interaction, but just loving that person in heart and that
person also knowing that she loves him, and he also loves her, is this a wrong
action or sin according to Islam??
Dear and beloved Sister in Islam, the nature that man was
created in simply does not allow that two non-mehrams form a relationship, love
each other, and are not physically or mentally attracted towards each other! The direct repercussions of such an unlawful
and lewd relationship would without an iota of a doubt lead to the doors of
‘zina’ (adultery)…..a crime which is so hated and so despised by Allah Subhanah
that He has prescribed capital punishment in the life of this world for those
who are found guilty of this heinous crime; and their accounting with Him on
the Day of Judgment will severe beyond imagination!
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 17 Surah Israa verse 32:
Do not even go
near ‘zina’ (fornication or adultery) for it is a very indecent thing and a
very evil way!
If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and
commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),
one can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any
other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be
assured of being led astray.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
Your brother and
well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
