In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Sahih Al-Bukhari
Hadith 9.122 Narrated by Abu
Huraira
I heard the Prophet (saws) saying, "Whoever sees me in a dream will see me in his wakefulness, for the Shaytaan cannot imitate me in shape."
Beloved brother, one must realize that first and foremost,
the above guidance that those who saw Prophet Mohamed (saws) in their dreams
actually saw the Prophet (saws) and none else, is only for those who have been
blessed and fortunate enough to have seen the Noble Messenger of Allah (saws)
themselves in his lifetime; for only then they would be able to recognize the
Prophet (saws) in their dreams.
One who has not seen the Prophet (saws), would obviously
not be able to recognize him (saws)! In
light of the above authentic hadith, it is not possible for the Shaytaan to
imitate the shape, features, or face of the Prophet Mohamed (saws), but it is
possible for the Shaytaan to take the shape of another human being and falsely
claim to be the Prophet, especially to those who have not seen, and thus obviously
do not recognize Prophet Mohamed (saws).
Thus even if one sees a person who claims to be Prophet
Mohamed (saws), or Prophet Musa (a.s.), or Prophet Isa (a.s.) in their dreams,
one who has never seen the faces of these Prophets, cannot be absolutely
assured that they indeed saw the real Prophets in their dreams….for although it
is not possible for the Shaytaan to imitate and copy the exact features of the
Prophet, it is possible that he takes the shape of another human being and
falsely claim to be one of the Prophets!
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 9.144 Narrated by Abu Huraira
Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "When the
Day of Resurrection approaches, the dreams of a believer will hardly fail to
come true, and a dream of a believer is one of forty-six parts of Prophetism,
and whatever belongs to Prothetism can never be false." Muhammad bin Sirin said, "But I say
this." He said, "It used to be said, 'There are three types of
dreams:
- The
reflection of one's thoughts and experiences one has during wakefulness,
- what
is suggested by the Shaytaan to frighten the dreamer,
- or
glad tidings from Allah.
So, if someone has a dream which he dislikes,
he should not tell it to others, but get up and offer a prayer.'"
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 9.168 Narrated by Abu Salama
I used to see a dream which would make me
sick till I heard Abu Qatada saying, "I too, used to see a dream which
would make me sick till I heard the Prophet (saws) saying, "A good dream
is from Allah, so if anyone of you saw a dream which he liked, he should
not tell it to anybody except to the one whom he loves, and if he saw a
dream which he disliked, then he should seek refuge with Allah from its evil
and from the evil of Shaytaan, and spit three times (on his left) and should
not tell it to anybody, for it will not harm him."
Thus regardless of whom or what one sees in their dreams,
one should realize that Allah Subhanah has completed and perfected His deen
with the completion of the Holy Quran and the established Sunnah of His Last
and Final Messenger (saws), and thus nothing, absolutely nothing can be added
or subtracted from the deen.
If one sees a good dream which gives good tidings, then
one should rest assured it is from their Lord…and they should be grateful for His
favors upon them; and if one sees an evil dream which one dislikes, one should
not worry about it nor disclose it to anyone, but rather seek refuge in Allah
from the mischief of the accursed Shaytaan, and get up an offer a prayer, for
that dream will not harm him in the least.
If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and
commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),
one can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other
than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of being led
astray.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.

well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
