Some years ago,Dr. Rashid khalif claim to discover a mathematical code in quran that goes on and around some probability of number 19 being placed in quran which is both an astonishing and marvellous thing i ever come across of quran that proves it to be words of Allah subhana. But not all the muslims agree with the things he asserted and particulary his attempt to go into the allegory of quranic verses which is against the islamic attitude towards the quran.please present an appraisal.

Quran and number numerical miracle

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

The Glorious Quran is an ocean of knowledge, and the more one dives into this Divine Ocean, the more he will be blessed and honored with knowledge. There are volumes of books written by eminent scholars, and scientists, and astronomists, and medical experts, etc.; about the miracles of the Glorious Quran in their respective fields. Modern science have only now accepted and declared the miracles of the Quran, which the believers believed firmly since its Revelation; from the One Who is All Knowing, All Wise.

Allah says in Chapter 2, Surah Baqarah aayat 185: Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was sent down: this Book is a Perfect Guidance for mankind and consists of clear Teachings which show the Right Way, and are a Criterion of the Truth and falsehood.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 16 Surah Nahl verse 89: We have sent down to you this Book, which makes everything plain, and is a guidance, blessing and good news to those who have surrendered themselves entirely.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 19 Surah Maryam verse 97: O Mohamed, We have made this Quran easy, and sent it down in your tongue so that you should give good news to the pious and warn the stubborn people.

Beloved and dear Brother, Allah Declares in the above Verses the mission for which the Quran was revealed. It is a Book of Guidance for all mankind, and consists of Teachings which show the Right Way, and is a Criterion between the Truth and the Falsehood. When one studies and understands the Divine Words of Wisdom of this Glorious Book and submits himself to them, for him it will be a source of blessings and good news of the Hereafter; and if one denies and rejects the Guidance of this Book, he is warned of a severe and unending punishment.

The brother who delved into the numerical wonders of the Quran and discovered the probabilities of the number ‘19’ in its verses, did so to prove that this Glorious Book could not have been written by anyone other than the One Who is Perfect in everything He Creates! Every Verse of the Glorious Quran is indeed a miracle, so much so, that Allah has termed each verse an ‘Aayah’ (meaning A Sign or A Miracle) in the Arabic language!

The Truth is brother, that even if this discovery of the brother of the number ‘19’ is true, would it really convince any disbeliever to believe in this Quran as the very Words of the All-Mighty Lord and Creator? The fact of the matter is that only those who sincerely seek and search for guidance in all humility, Allah Will guide them to the Straight Path. But those who are arrogant and insist on seeing and witnessing the miracles of Allah Subhanah first before they believe in Him, were shown much bigger and manifest miracles by Allah Subhanah through His Messengers, but still they refused to believe.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 7: (O Prophet) even if We had sent down to you a Book written on paper, and even if they had touched it with their own hands, the disbelievers would have said, “This is nothing but manifest sorcery!”.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 30 Surah Rum verses 58-60: We have set forth in this Quran every sort of argument to make the people understand; but whatever ‘aayah’ you may bring, the disbelievers will certainly say, “You are following falsehood”. Thus does Allah seal up the hearts of those who understand not. So, patiently perservere; for surely the promise of Allah is True. And let not those who have no certainty of faith, shake your firmness.

Thus, my beloved and dear Brother in Islam, if one thinks that he can bring someone to believe in the Quran by proving the probability of the number ‘19’ in the Glorious Quran, then he must strive to do so; and he will have his full reward from Allah Subhanah for his efforts.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
