Palmistry Astrology

Answer:
In the
name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness.
Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray,
none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no
person, no grave, no prophet, no imam,
no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
In the

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale Imran verse 160: If
Allah helps you, none
can overcome you! And if Allah forsakes
you, who is there, then, after Allah that can help
you? Therefore, the true believers should trust in
Allah Alone.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah Yunus verses 106-107: And
do not call besides Allah,
any being that can neither do you any good nor any harm. For if you will do so, you shall be one of the doers of
wrong. If Allah afflicts you with a
calamity, there is none to remove it, but He Himself. Likewise, if Allah wills to bestow a favor on
you, there is none to withhold Allah’s
bounty. He bestows His bounty on anyone
of His servants He wills. And He is The
Forgiving, The Merciful.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 31 Surah Luqman verse 34: Verily, the knowledge of
the Hour is with Allah Alone. He it is
Who sends down the rain,
and He Alone knows what is taking shape in the wombs of the
mothers. No living being knows what he
will earn the next day, nor does any know in what land he is to die! Verily Allah is the All Knowing, Wise.
Sahih Muslim Hadith 133 Narrated by Abu Hurayrah
The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: “Don't you know what your Lord said? Your Lord observed: ‘I (Allah) have never endowed My bondsmen with a
favor, but a section amongst them
disbelieved it, and said: stars, it was
due to the stars.’”
It is
absolutely prohibited for a believer to seek his fortune, or find out about his future, through palmistry, or astrology, or the
movement of the stars, or star signs, or
any other thing or device! The
Messenger of Allah (saws) called the people who claimed to read the future liars ; and invoked
the curse of Allah on the ones who tried to read the stars, and the ones who went to them to seek their fortune
or future.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.232 Narrated
by Aisha
Some people asked Allah's Messenger (saws) about the
fore-tellers. Allah's Messenger (saws)
said to them, "They are nothing (i.e., liars)." The people said, 'O Allah's Messenger (saws)!
Sometimes they tell something which comes out to be true." Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "That
word which comes to be true is what a jinn snatches away by stealing and then
pours it in the ear of his fore-teller with a sound similar to the cackle of a
hen, and then they add to it one-hundred lies."
The
so-called ‘knowledge’ of palmistry, or
the deciphering of the happenings of the future by studying the position of the
lines or marks in one’s hands are nothing more than absolute lies, whims,
conjecture, and guess-works of
ignorant and unscrupulous people.
There is absolutely no reality and relation between the lines and marks
on one’s hands and the events that take place in a person’s life!
Everything
that happens in the heavens and the earth, is in the Absolute Control and Sole
Domain of the All Powerful, All Knowing
Lord of the Worlds. No star, no sun,
no moon, no marks or lines on
one’s palms, and absolutely nothing and no one in the universe has the power to
bring about any good or evil on anyone.
All Power and All Strength is vested in the Hands of Allah Subhanah Alone.
To
believe in palmistry or any form of astrology , and to believe in the supposed ‘prediction’
of the star-signs, palm-reading, etc. is a form and manifestation of the heinous sin of
‘shirk’; and all the believers must
abstain from this evil deed.
To even
believe a part of what the astrologer or the palmist has said, is to disbelieve in the Divine Decree
and Qadr of our Lord;
and a heinous sin. Thus the
believers must absolutely abstain from such false beliefs; and put their full
trust and belief in the Power and Might of the One Lord Alone! Allah Alone has the Power and Knowledge of
everything that is in existence, and absolutely no one else.
Trust and
believe in the Lord that Created everything in
existence. If He helps you, no combination of
people can hurt you! And if He forsakes
you, there is
none in the Universe who can help you.
Therefore, put
your trust in Allah Subhanah Alone.
Your
question: is it true that if u get
To the
best of our humble knowledge there is no mention in the Quran
or the Sunnah for a particular consequence or
punishment for the specific act of palm-reading.
Your
question: is it a sort of shirk?
Sahih Muslim Hadith 133 Narrated by Abu Hurayrah

Trying to
figure out the future through palm-reading is a definite manifestation of the
heinous crime of ‘shirk’ and disbelief.
Whatever
written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance,
and whatever of error is of me. Allah
Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
