AssalamAlaikum, Respected Brother Burhan ,
I have a question which is quite strange. Actually my problem is that absurd ideas about Allah Subhanah keep bothering me. I try to shun them but they keep on disturbing me. We know that Quran is replete with details about Allah ,His characteristics and about how did He create heavens and earth and everything that exists in between . My question is , apart from Quran ( and Hadith ofcourse ) what is the Proof that it is Allah who is " The Real God " and who really created everything in existence ? What is the proof ( besides Quran and Hadith ) that the name of The Real God is "Allah " ??? Hindus have their God named `Bhagwaan` ,people from other religions have other names for their God so how can we tell them that ours and theirs God is " Allah " ??????
Please reply as soon as possible and do pray for me that Allah Subhanah forgives me for asking such kind of question .

Proof of Allah

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Beloved sister in Islam, first and foremost never ever hesitate or apologize for asking any question in Islam; because this ‘way of life’ called Al-Islam is based on absolute logic and in complete accordance with nature. Islam encourages the people to use their bestowed power of reasoning and their intelligence to determine the Truth from the falsehood; thus never ever hesitate to ask any question in Islam, provided the intention is to gain knowledge and not to challenge the wisdom or commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws).

My question is , apart from Quran ( and Hadith ofcourse ) what is the Proof that it is Allah who is " The Real God " and who really created everything in existence ? What is the proof ( besides Quran and Hadith ) that the name of The Real God is "Allah"???

The issue is not what is the exact name of the Creator; but the real issue is whether this Creator is one, or two or more! And the Creator has given countless Signs in everything in existence that unanimously declares that there can be only One Creator!

Just look at man! Every man is born the same way, whether he be in Japan, or England, or Africa…all eat the same two types of food (meat and vegetation), all breathe the same air, all have the same body components that function in the same manner….all have the same likes of wealth, and fame, and possessions, and women, etc. If there were more than One Creator, each of them would create a different type of man!

Now look at the sun, the moon, the trees, the winds, the rains, the seas, the animals… each and every creation unanimously proclaim that the Creator is One and One Alone! The irrefutable Signs of the Oneness of this Masterful and Perfect Creator is embellished in each of His creation.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 67 Surah Mulk verses 1-4:

1 Blessed be He in Whose hands is Dominion: and He over all things Hath Power.

2 He, Who created Death and Life that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving.

3 He, Who created the seven heavens one above another; no want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of the Most Gracious! So turn thy vision again! Seest thou any flaw?

4 Again! Turn thy vision a second time! (Thy) vision will come back to thee, dull and discomfited, in a state worn out.

Thus, the thing to determine is not what is His name; but whether there is only One, or more than one Creators and Sustainers of this universe!

Call Him by any good name…for all the good names belong to Him. Call Him Allah, or call Him God, or call Him ‘The Creator’, or the ‘Palanhaar’, or The Most Merciful, or The Sustainer, or The Cherisher, or The Most High, or The Giver of Life, or the All-Mighty….. All the good and best names belong to Him!

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 17 Surah Israa verse 110: Say: "Call upon Allah, or call upon The Most Merciful: by whatever name ye call upon Him (it is well): for to Him belong the Most Beautiful Names.”

The real iniquity and injustice is when everything in the Universe is unanimously declaring the Oneness of the Creator; man, in his utter and absolute ignorance, starts inventing his own ‘gods’… the ignorant say that there is one god or ‘bhagwan’ who gives life (Brahma), then another who destroys (Shiva), then another who sustains (Vishnu), then another who gives wealth (Laxmi), then another who gives knowledge (Saraswati)…etc. etc.!!! They have invented 330 million gods and from themselves have given each a department or role; but then they say that all these gods actually represent or are parts of the One True God!

Then there are some who say that God has taken a son (Jesus (a.s.)), or they say that Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and God form a Trinity!!!

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 21 Surah Anbiyaa verse 22: If there were in the heavens and the earth other gods besides Allah, there would have been confusion in both! But glory to Allah, the Lord of the Throne: (High is He) above what they attribute to Him!

The assigning of the other self-invented gods or beings as partners to the One and Only Creator is what Allah Subhanah terms the unforgivable and the most heinous sin in the Glorious Quran: that is ‘shirk’, or associating others with Allah Subhanah in His Godhead!

Allah says in the Quran: Chapter 4 Surah An-Nisa Verse 48: Shirk (associating other deities with Allah) is the only sin that Allah does not forgive, and He forgives, whomsoever He pleases, sins other than this. For whosoever associates any other partner with Allah, does indeed forge a big lie and commits the most heinous sin

There is no bigger blasphemy and absolute lie one can commit in the sight of their Creator other than associating other ‘gods’ or ‘bhagwans’ with Him; for when He Alone is the Creator, Sustainer, Cherisher, All Mighty, All Knowing, All Seeing, All Powerful…..associating others with Him in His Godhead means that He is (and I seek refuge in Allah from saying this) unable to control or sustain His creation! And this utter and absurd lie and blasphemy of ‘shirk’ is what Allah Subhanah has termed ‘Dhulm-un-Adheem’ or ‘grave wrong-doing or iniquity’ in the Glorious Quran.

Allah Declares in the Glorious Quran Chapter 31 Surah Luqman verse 13 (part): Verily, shirk is indeed ‘dhulm-un-adheem’ (or grave iniquity).

Thus, my beloved sister in Islam, the issue is not what is the real name of the Creator…for to Him belong all the Best Names! The real issue and the test of man is whether he recognizes this One and Only True Creator, and submits to Him!

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
