One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Why your community members{sons, daughters, sister-in-laws or brother in-laws eat their father or mother benefits money? I don't think it's written in Quran, to eat widows money. When God punish, they go to priest to be  prey  over for their sickness.

Widow’s Money

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said in an authentic narration, "The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is like a Mujahid (warrior) who fights for Allah's Cause, or like him who performs prayers all the night and fasts all the day."

Allah and His Messenger (saws) commanded the believers to be kind, gentle, charitable and generous with the weak of the society. Our Lord and Creator is a Merciful Lord, and anything that has to do with injustice, tyranny, oppression and wrong, cannot be attributed to Him. If anyone or any community does any oppression and injustice, and tries to justify their abominable acts from the Holy Quran, Allah will hold him severely accountable on the Day of Judgement.

Brother, we too are ex-Bohra like yourselves, and are absolutely appalled and disgusted with the practices that are propagated by the Bohra leadership in the name of Islam. All Praise is due to Allah Alone, who has guided us to recognize the falsehood propagated by the Bohra leadership. May Allah help us and guide us to now recognize the Truth from the clear guidance and teachings of the Holy Quran. And may Allah take full retribution from the self-made Bohra leaders who mis-guide their followers, for their own monetary and personal gains, in the name of Islam.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Surah Aaraf verse 37:Then, who can be more wicked than the one who invents falsehood and attributes these to Allah, or treats the True Revelations as false?

Our mission and objective in starting this forum is to invite our brethren to read and understand the clear guidance of the Holy Quran, so that they can leave all the practices and rituals of ‘shirk’ and disobedience, and come to the worship and invocation of Allah Alone. We invite our brothers to read and understand the Quran for themselves, so that they can differentiate between the falsehood propagated by the Bohra leadership, and true Islam. We invite our brethren to leave the invocation, and worshipping and bowing down in sajdah to human beings and graves, and come to the worship and invocation of our Lord and Creator, Allah Subhanah. We invite our brethren to stop being ‘abde-syedna’ (slaves of syedna), and take the Path that honors them to become ‘Abd-Allah’ (slaves of Allah).

Allah says in Chapter 2, Surah Baqarah aayat 185:"Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was sent down: this Book is a perfect guidance for mankind and consists of CLEAR teachings which show the right way and are a Criterion of the Truth and falsehood."

We have started this forum to help our Bohra brethren and anyone who wants to listen to good caution, to come closer to the guidance of Allah and His Messenger (saws), and that is why we have named our site ‘Dawoodibohrahelpline.com’. If with this humble effort of ours, we can help even one brother or sister to become a better muslim and come closer to the guidance of Truth from Allah and His Messenger (saws), then we have done our duty.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
