Answer:
Who is shaytaan
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.
Your
Question: ….Altogether how many makhlooks are there in these universe or universes.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 13 Surah
Raad verse 16:
16 Say: "Who is the Lord and Sustainer of the heavens and the
earth?" Say: "It is Allah." Say: "Do ye then take (for
worship) protectors other than Him such as have no power either for good or for
harm to themselves?" Say: "Are the blind equal with those who see? Or
the depths of darkness equal with Light?" Or do they assign to Allah
partners who have created (anything) as He has created so that the creation
seemed to them similar? Say: "Allah is the Creator of all things:
He is the One the Supreme and Irresistible."
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah
Anaam verse 1:
1 Praise be to Allah Who created the heavens and the earth
and made the darkness and the light. Yet
those who reject faith hold (others) as equal with their Guardian-Lord.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah
Anaam verse 102:
102 That is Allah your Lord! There is no god but
He! The Creator of all things: then worship ye Him: and He hath
power to dispose of all affairs.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah
Zumar verse 62:
62 Allah is the Creator of all things and He is the Guardian and Disposer of all affairs.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 38 Surah
Saad verses 65-66:
65 Say: "Truly am I a Warner: no god is there but the One Allah
Supreme and Irresistible
66 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all in between Exalted in Might Able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and
again."
Everything, absolutely everything that exists in the
heavens and on the earth is the creation (makhlook) of the One and Only
Al-Khaaliq (The Creator), Allah Subhanah wa Taala. The Creator (Al-Khaaliq) is but One, Only,
and Unique….His creation (makhlooq) is quite frankly, innumerable! None save The Al-Khaaliq Alone Knows the exact
number or types of His created ‘makhlooq’ in this universe!!!
Your
Question: What are jinnats.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 55 Surah
Rahmaan verses 14-15:
14 He created man from sounding clay like
unto pottery.
15 And He created Jinns from fire free of
smoke.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 51 Surah
Dhariyat verse 56:
I have not created the Jinn and men except for
this that they should worship Me alone.
It is evident from the above quotation of the Glorious
Quran that the Jinns are a separate and a distinct creation from the human
beings; and the literal meaning of the Arabic term ‘Jinn’ means something which
is hidden or unseen.
Dear and Beloved Brother, the ‘Jinns’ are amongst the
‘unseen’, and whatever is amongst the ‘unseen’, its exact nature is known to
none save Allah Subhanah, the Creator of everything in existence. The only knowledge one has of the ‘unseen’ in
Truth can only be what has been made known to man by their Lord through His
Message and His Messenger (saws); and everything other than these two Divine
Sources of Knowledge has to be nothing but guess-works and conjecture.
Allah and His Messenger (saws) have made it known that the
Jinns, like everything else in creation, are a creation of Allah Subhanah, they
were created from a flame of smokeless fire, and like the human beings are
bestowed with limited intelligence and a ‘free will’ and thus involved in a
test of one short life to choose between obedience or disobedience,
righteousness or evil, belief or disbelief. They too, like the humans, will be
resurrected again after their death and called to account in the Presence of
the Majestic Creator on the Inevitable Day of Judgment, and the righteous
amongst them will be rewarded with Eternal Mercy and Paradise and the evil
amongst them will earn the Everlasting Wrath and Anger of the Lord and thus the
Fire of Hell. These are amongst the
things our Lord and His Messenger (saws) have made it known to the believers of
the creation of the Jinns, and in Allah and His Messenger (saws) the believers
do believe.
The information regarding where exactly the Jinns live and
reside, what is the exact nature of their life, what exactly is permissible and
impermissible for them to eat or drink, what is their exact system of family
and governance, what is the exact nature of their appearance, etc. has not been
provided or made known to the humans, nor did the All-Wise, All-Knowing Lord
Determine such information was necessary for the guidance of mankind. For had this information been necessary for
the guidance of mankind, the Lord would definitely have made it known to
us! When the The All-Knowing, All-Wise
Lord did not Will to make any information of the ‘unseen’ known to man, it is
safe to assume that this information was neither beneficial nor useful for the
guidance of mankind.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 72 Surah
Jinn verses 11-15:
11 (The Jinns said):`There are among us (the Jinns) some that are righteous and some the
contrary: we follow divergent paths.
12 But we think that we can by no means frustrate Allah throughout the
earth nor can we frustrate Him by flight.
13 And as for us since we have listened to the Guidance we have
accepted it: and any who believes in his Lord has no fear either of a short
(account) or of any injustice.
14 Amongst us (Jinns) are some that
are ‘muslims’ (submitting their wills to Allah) and some that are
‘fasiqoon’ (swerve from The Truth). Now those who submit their wills they have
sought out (the path) of right conduct:
15 But those who swerve they are (but) fuel
for Hell Fire '
In light of the above absolutely clear guidance of the
Glorious Quran, it is absolutely certain that there are two types or categories
amongst the race of the Jinns:
- One
category is that of the believing Jinns
- The
other category is that of the disbelieving Jinns.
Your
Statement: …Iblees was Allahs dearest malaika ( angel) but he refused to obey
Allah & he was thrown away from Jannat & he became iblis (
Shaitan )
Allah Subhanah created absolutely everything in existence,
including the Angels…and it is He Who bestowed the Angels their inherent nature
of total and absolute purity, and unconditional obedience to His each and every
Command.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 66 Surah
Tahreem verse 6:
6 O ye who believe! Save yourselves and your families from a Fire
whose fuel is men and stones over which are (appointed) Angels, stern and
severe, who flinch not (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah; but they do (precisely and exactly) what
they are Commanded.
Unlike men and Jinns, the Angels are neither bestowed with
a ‘free will’ by their Lord to choose between obedience and disobedience, nor
are they involved in a test, nor will they be held accountable for their deeds
on that Inevitable and Tumultuous Day of Judgment!
Contrary to popular (and obviously absolutely erroneous)
belief, Iblees was NOT an Angel….but rather one amongst the Jinns who have been
bestowed by their Lord with a ‘free will’ to choose between obedience and
disobedience as a test for a limited period…..and the evil and accursed Iblees
chose to disobey his Lord and Creator.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 18 Surah
Kahf verse 50:
50 Behold! We said to the Angels "Bow down to Adam": they bowed down except Iblis.
He (Iblees) was one of the Jinns, and he broke the
Command of his Lord. Will ye then take
him and his progeny as protectors rather than Me? And they are enemies to you!
Evil would be the exchange for the wrongdoers!
Respected brother, as quoted in the above Aayah of Surah
Kahf, Allah Subhanah confirms in His Glorious Quran that Iblees was not an
Angel, but rather one amongst the Jinns, who chose to disobey his Lord and
Creator.
It seems that the whole misunderstanding that Iblees was
one of the Angels and not from the Jinn race originates from the
misinterpretation of the current Bible, where some amongst the Christian
commentators have taken Lucifer to be the ‘fallen angel’!!!
12"How you are fallen from
heaven,
O Day Star (Latin: Lucifer), son of Dawn!
How you are cut down
to the ground,
you who laid the nations low!
13You said in your heart,
'I will ascend to heaven;
above the stars of God
I will set my throne on high;
I will sit on the mount of assembly
in the far reaches of the north;
14I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;
I will make myself like the Most High.'
Bible,
Book of Isiah 14:12-14
There is absolutely no doubt from the Truth of the
Glorious Quran that Iblees was not one amongst the Angels, but was rather one
from amongst the Jinn race.
Your
Question: ….Shaitan is one or many.
Ref: Iblees:
the
literal meaning of the term ‘Iblees’ is one who constantly doubts and
despairs. The name ‘Iblees’ is given to
that one particular and specific Jinn who chose to disobey and challenge Allah
Subhanah during the episode that occurred as related by Allah Subhanah in His
Quran during the creation of Hadrat Adam (a.s.).
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 18 Surah
Kahf verse 50:
50 Behold! We said to the Angels "Bow down to Adam": they
bowed down except Iblis. He was
one of the Jinns, and he broke the Command of his Lord. Will ye then take him and his progeny as
protectors rather than Me? And they are enemies to you! Evil would be the
exchange for the wrongdoers!
Ref: Shaytaan or (plural ‘Shayateen’): The literal meaning of the Arabic term ‘Shaytaan’ is one
who transgresses the boundaries of Allah, or is a consistent disobedient or
denier of the Truth.
A ‘Shaytaan’ can be one amongst the human beings or
amongst the Jinns, for these two races alone have been bestowed a ‘free will’
to choose between obedience and disobedience of their Lord amongst all His
creation. All those amongst the Jinns and the human beings who follow the
mission of disobedience of ‘Iblees’ are all termed ‘Shaytaans’ by Allah
Subhanah.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah
Anaam verse 112:
And so have We (Allah) always set against every
Prophet enemies from among Shaitaans of men and Shaitaans of jinns,
who inspire one another with flowery
discourses by way of deception.
Whenever Allah Subhanah refers to ‘As-Shaytaan’ (The
Shaytaan) in the Glorious Quran, it refers to the accursed leader of the
Shayateen, Iblees; and whenever the general term ‘shaytaan’ or plural
‘shayateen’ is used, it refers to all those amongst the men and the jinn race
who follow the mission of disobedience of the accursed Iblees.
Thus in simple layman terms the ‘Jinn’ like the human race
are a creation of Allah Subhanah whom He has bestowed with a free will for a
limited period of one life time as a test to choose between obedience and
disobedience of their Lord.
The ‘Iblees’ is one amongst the Jinn who chose to disobey
and challenge the Lord; and all amongst the Jinns and the human race who choose
to follow the mission of disobedience of the Lord are all termed and known as
the ‘shayateen’.
Your
Question: …..How he works on human mind & heart. What ever evil deeds we do
its all because we fall pray to shaitans evil plots. please reply at the
earliest.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 15 Surah
Hijr verses 39-43:
39 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! because Thou hast put me in the wrong
I will make (wrong) fair-seeming to
them on the earth and I will (strive to) put them all in the wrong,
40 Except Thy servants among them sincere and purified (by Thy
Grace)."
41 (Allah) said: "This (Way of My sincere servants) is indeed a
Way that leads straight to Me.
42 For over My servants no authority shalt thou have except such as put
themselves in the wrong and follow thee."
43 And verily Hell is the promised abode for
them all!
In light of the Guidance of the Glorious Quran, the
classic (and probably only) ploy of the Shaytaan is to employ every available
machinery at his disposal to whisper evil in men’s hearts and minds in such a
way that he presents everything that is wrong and sinful as good and
fair-seeming; and everything that is good and lawful as evil, burdensome,
difficult, and unnecessary!
The absolute maximum the ‘Shayateen’ (Iblees and his
party) from amongst the Jinn and/or mankind may ever do is to invite or call
one to disobey their Lord and do their evil bidding…and not even an iota
more! If one amongst man is beguiled by
their evil invitation and call, and corrupts his own soul by listening to their
call, then he alone is responsible for his response to the evil invitation of
the Shaytaan.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 14 Surah
Ibraheem verse 22:
22 And the Shaytaan will say when the matter (on the Day) is decided :
"It was Allah Who gave you a promise of Truth: I too promised, but I
failed in my promise to you. I had
no authority over you except to call you, but ye listened to me: then reproach
not me but reproach your own souls!
I cannot listen to your cries nor can ye listen to mine. I reject your former act in associating me
with Allah. For wrongdoers there must be
a Grievous Penalty."
The evil and accursed enemy of man, the Iblees, will
himself declare his absolute and total lack of power and authority over anyone
on the Day of Judgment! All he could ever
do and did was to invite and call people towards falsehood, and the deniers and
weak of faith fell for his false promises!
In the Court of Allah on the Day of Judgment, this evil and accursed
Iblees will try to absolve himself of any wrongdoing and tell those who
followed his evil bidding to reproach their own souls in disgust, dismay,
regret and sorrow and put no blame on him whatsoever, for he had absolutely no
power or authority over any one in the least!
Your
Question: ….normally in
The Jinns are a distinct creation of Allah who have their
own test of life ordained for them by Allah Subhanah, and they too will have a
full accounting of their deeds on the Day of Judgment like the humans.
The system or nature of this life created by the Lord Most
High is that every person is responsible for the deeds he does with his own
will. If the ‘jinns’ had the power or
could possess someone, then whatever that person does or says, he does not do
or say with his own will but rather it would be the will of the Jinn! If a jinn could posses a human being, he
could murder someone, rape someone, steal something, etc. and make the human
being he has possessed do many an evil deed….and the innocent person could be
held guilty in a court of law and punished for something he did not will to
do!!!! The whole system of life and the
test that the All-Knowing, All-Wise Lord has bestowed would be in total
disarray…and no ones’ life or property would be safe on this earth!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 114 Surah
An-Naas verses 4-6:
4 (Say: I seek refuge in
Allah ) from the mischief of the whisperer (of evil) who withdraws
(after his whisper)
5 (The same) who whispers into the hearts
of mankind
6 Among Jinns, and among men.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 14 Surah
Ibraheem verse 22:
22 And the Shaytaan (on the Day of Judgment) will say when the matter
is decided: "It was Allah Who gave you a promise of Truth: I too promised,
but I failed in my promise to you. I
had no authority over you except to call you, but ye listened to me:
then reproach not me but reproach your own souls. I cannot listen to your cries nor can ye
listen to mine. I reject your former act
in associating me with Allah. For
wrongdoers there must be a Grievous Penalty."
In light of the above absolutely clear guidance of the
Quran, the absolute maximum the Jinn has the power to do is to whisper some
evil into the hearts of men, and inspire man to commit some evil! They have absolutely no power to help or hurt
any human being, and they absolutely do not possess the power to possess a
human being.
Thus not only is the guidance of the Holy Quran against
the very concept of a jinn possessing a human being, but even logically it is
absolutely impossible for a jinn to possess a human being and make him do his
will!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Surah
Aaraf verse 27:
27 O ye children of Adam! Let not the Shaytaan seduce you in the same
manner as he got your parents (Adam and Hawwa) out of the Garden stripping them
of their raiment to expose their shame: for he and his tribe watch you from a
position where ye cannot see them: We made the ‘shayateen’
friends (only) to those without faith.
My beloved brother in Islam, even if all amongst mankind
were to stand together and claim that the Jinn can be seen, or a Jinn can
posses a human being and make him say and do his will; and they were all to
claim they themselves have witnessed this supposed phenomena of the ‘unseen’
.... and The Lord Most High Declares in His Quran that the Jinn cannot be seen
by humans, nor can they possess and make humans do their will….then if you have
to, stand alone on the side of Words and Guidance of Truth of Allah Subhanah;
for none can be truer in His Word than Allah, the Lord of the Worlds!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah
Ahzaab verse 4:
4 … But Allah tells (you) the
Truth and He shows the (Right) Way.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah
Nisaa verse 87:
87 … And whose Word can be truer
than Allah's?
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah
An-Nisa verse 122:
The promise of Allah is true, and who can
be truer in his Word than Allah?
If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and
commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),
one can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any
other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be
assured of being led astray.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.

well wisher in Islam,
