Answer:

Can sunni marry mahdi

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Respected sister in Islam, we honestly are not aware of a sect of Islam called the ‘Mehdis’; nor are we aware of their exact state or conditions of belief.

Any person who declares the ‘shahaadah’ that there is no god but Allah Subhanah Alone and that Prophet Mohamed (saws) is the Last and Final Messenger of Allah, regardless of what ‘sect’ name they may have invented or wish to call or recognize themselves, such a person will be regarded as a ‘legal’ muslim in the Sight of Shariah Law and of the believers, ….and every single right that is due to a muslim in the life of this world will be accorded to them in full: his food will be lawful unto the believers, he can marry amongst the muslims, he will inherit his muslim parents, his believing children will inherit from him, he can visit the Sacred Mosque in Makkah, he will be accorded a muslim burial or ‘janaaza’, etc. All the rights that are due to a brother/sister muslim will be accorded to him/her in full.

Thus if this man who claims to belong to the ‘Mehdi’ sect declares the ‘shahaadah’ that there is no god worthy of worship except Allah Subhanah Alone, and that Prophet Mohamed (saws) is the Last and Final Messenger of Allah….the man will be regarded as a ‘muslim’ in the Sight of Shariah Law and the believers, and a marriage between this man and a believing woman will be considered legal and valid in Shariah Law.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
