I have an importent question to ask, Can We Offer Aqeeqah with Qurbani.

Please reply at your earliest, as we are close to Baqr-Eid.

Answer:

Qurbani aqiqa combine

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Although it is possible that the time of one’s sacrifice of ‘aqiqa’ coincides with the voluntary ‘qurbani’ of Eid-al-Adha…..the absolute majority of the scholars and jurists in Islam are of the opinion that although it would be deemed permissible for one to perform both the sacrifices at one and the same day or time…..but it must be done with two different animals. It would not be permissible for one to offer one and the same animal as sacrifice for both, the ‘aqiqa’ as well as the ‘qurbani’ for the Eid ul Adha.
