How do I find out that this hadiths is Sahih or not?
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
(May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
Bismillaahirrahmaanirrahiem.
Assalaamu`alaikumwarahmatullaahiwabarakaatuh.
How do I find out that this hadiths is Sahih or not?
Anas (r.a.) said, the Prophet (s.a.w.) addressed us, and said:
"O People! It seems as if we are exempted from death.
And as if truth in this life is incumbent upon other than us.
And as if those dead people whom we escort to their final resting are
travellers who will return to us very soon.
We lay them in their tombs and devour their inheritance as if we were immortal
after them.
We forget all extortion, and we feel secure from every strife.
All goodness to the person who is minding his own faults and keeping away from
other`s faults.
All goodness to the person who spends wealth which he acquired legally, and
mixes with learned and wise men, and mixes with poor and down-trodden.
All goodness to the humble and high-mannered and good-hearted and the one who
keeps his evil deeds away from people.
All goodness to the person who spends his extra wealth and withholds his extra
talk and is satisfied with the Sunnah and not attracted by heritical
innovation."
Ahmad Masnor.

Answer:
Hadith authentic or
not
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.
Beloved brother in Islam, although parts of the message
quoted in the above text by you is found in different hadiths, to the best of
our knowledge we have not come across or been able to find the above narration
in its entirety in any of the authentic collections of ahaadeeth. And Allah Alone Knows Best.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.
Your brother and
well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
