Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.

One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
Assalamu
Alaikum,
Thank your for the reply which was very informative.
However,
it is clarified that the questioner was happend to be a lady (my colleague)
hence, she did not offer her prayer in congregation with men in the Masjid
rather she did it in her friend`s house. Her question was whether her prayer is
valid or not if she offer the same in her friend`s house (a non-muslim).
Once
again thank you and look forward more clarification in due course.
God
bless you.

Answer:
Places prayer
prohibited
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.
Your Question: Her
question was whether her prayer is valid or not if she offer the same in her
friend`s house (a non-muslim).
Abu
Dharr Ghaffari (r.a.) narrates that the Prophet (saws) said: "Wherever you
may be, at the time of prayer, you may pray for it [the earth] is all a
mosque."

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 738 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Umar
Allah's Messenger (saws) prohibited the
observance of prayers in seven places: on a dung hill, in a slaughterhouse, in
a graveyard, in the middle of the road, in a bathroom, in the watering place
where camels drink and sit, and upon the roof of the House of Allah.
In light of above absolutely clear guidance of the
Messenger of Allah (saws), there is absolutely no harm if one offers their
prayers in a disbelievers house, for other than the seven specific places
listed above where prayers are prohibited, one may offer their prayers
wheresoever one is or wills, for the whole earth has been made a ‘masjid’ for
the believers by their Lord Most Merciful.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.

well wisher in Islam,
