Muslim marries hindu: What if a muslim girl gets married into a Hindu community, she is happy with the husband. They have only sons in the family. The wife follows her religion and the husband his. The children follow the father`s religion. After some years the husband becomes sick and dies, the wife has done everything in the world to heal the husband`s health, but it was not in her hands. Then she is left with the sons alone. She then converts the sons into Muslim and stays with them. What would you say about such a case?

Answer:
Muslim marries Hindu
In the name of Allah, We praise
Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none
can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.
We bear witness that there is no one (no idol,
no person, no grave, no
prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone,
and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of
His Messengers.
Your question: What if a muslim
girl gets married into a Hindu community, she is happy with the husband.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 221:Do not marry ‘mushrik’
women unless they believe. A slave woman
who believes is better than a free woman who does not believe, even though the latter may appear very
attractive to you. Likewise, do not wed your women to ‘mushrik’
men, unless they believe. A slave man who believes, is better than a free man who does not
believe, even though he may be very
pleasing to you. These ‘mushriks’ invite you to the Fire while Allah, by His Grace,
invites you to the Gardens and His Pardon. He makes His Revelations plain to the people
so that they should learn a lesson, and
follow the admonition.
It is prohibited and ‘haraam’ for a believing woman to marry anyone who is not a
believer. If she has already done
so, she would have disobeyed a direct
command of Allah Subhanah, and will be held severely accountable for her
deeds in the Court of Allah on the Day of Judgment.
If a believing woman indeed
marries a Hindu or any ‘mushrik’ man, that marriage will not be valid in the sight
of Shariah or Islamic Law, and in the sight of Allah Subhanah. She will be living in a state of sin for all
her life, and her accounting in the
Court of Allah on the Day of Recompense will be very severe and dreadful
indeed.
Allah Subhanah, in the above quoted aayah
of Surah Baqarah says that ‘these ‘mushriks’ invite you to the
Fire, while Allah, by His Grace,
invites the believers to the Gardens and His Pardon!’
Your question: She then converts
the sons into Muslim and stays with them. What would you say about such a
case?
If the believing woman has realized
her error and has sought Pardon and Forgiveness from her Merciful Lord, and has,
of her own free will, returned
back to the Straight Path of Islam; the
Merciful, if He Wills, will forgive all her sins. And if she has made an effort to convert her
children to the deen of Islam, Allah Subhanah will
reward her generously for her efforts.
The only thing we can say about
the narrated case is that Allah Subhanah had Mercy on
the woman, and gave her the opportunity
to seek repentance and return back to the deen of
Truth in her lifetime. May Allah Subhanah accept her Repentance and Taubah, help her,
guide her, forgive her her short-comings,
and bestow a generous reward on her in the life of the Hereafter.
Whatever written of Truth and
benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error
is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He
is the Only Source of Strength.

Islam,
