Question:My wife is pregnant and the doctor has forbidden intercourse for the whole pregnancy. While playing with her I rub my penis vigorously against her body, usually during night or early in the morning.I also had same practice during her menses.This practice leads to discharge of semen.Is this a sin?How can I avoid it?

Answer:

Enjoy wife in menses

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

If the wife is in her period of menses, or the period after child-birth, or for if any reason one is not able to have actual intercourse with his wife, there is absolutely no harm and no sin if the husband and wife enjoy each other’s physical company, playing, touching, fondling, etc., and as a result the semen is discharged. The guidance of the Messenger of Allah (saws) on this subject is that the woman in menses must cover her lower private parts, and the husband and wife may enjoy everything except actual intercourse.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said, "Do everything (during the woman’s menstruation) except intercourse."

Thus brother, your physical enjoyment with your wife as related by you is absolutely legal and well within the boundaries of Islam; not only is there no sin upon you, but your enjoying the company of your wife will be a source of earning rewards from your Lord Most Merciful, Insha Allah.

Abu Dhar al-Ghafari reported: ‘The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: “There is a reward for you [even] in sex with your wife."’ The companions asked: ‘O Messenger of Allah (saws), is there a reward if one satisfies his passion?" He (saws) said: "Do you know that if he satisfies it unlawfully he has taken a sin upon himself? Likewise, if he satisfies it lawfully, he is rewarded."
