thanx for sending me answer for my quest. i.e. question no.9645 dated 1st July,2004, in that i have asked the meaning as well as spelling of suhail and also regarding abdus-subhan name.

sir u have given me the correct spelling of suhail but sir u have not replied the other questions answer i.e Meaning of Suhail.

so please kindly help me to know the meaning of Suhail or Suhayl.

Meaning of Name Suhayl

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

The term ‘Suhayl’ is derived from the Arabic root word ‘Sahl’ which means ‘easy’; thus ‘Suhayl’ would mean one who makes things easy, trouble-free, straight-forward, uncomplicated, undemanding, painless, etc.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
