Answer:

Impure women visit graveyard

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

There is absolutely nothing in the authentic Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (saws) which would prohibit a believing woman, regardless of her state of purity or impurity, if she wished to occasionally visit the grave of her loved ones.

Firstly, in light of the Truth of the Quran and the Sunnah, there is no such thing as ‘evil spirits of the bad souls’ in creation! The only other creation of Allah Subhanah who are inclined to evil other than mankind are from amongst the Jinns, and they do not have the power to ‘possess’ or ‘interfere’ with the test of mankind without the precise Will and Permission of Allah Subhanah!

It is no more than a superstition and an absolutely false belief, and absolutely against the guidance of Islam to fear that the evil amongst the Jinns have the power to ‘possess’ anyone amongst mankind in any place or at any time, leave alone in the graveyards or in a state of menstrual impurity in the case of women!

If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws), he can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), he can be assured of being led astray.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
