How to enter paradise direct?
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa
Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
My question is what is the correct and most
direct route to obtain Jannah for an individual?
Can you please use Revelation of Quran and
logic as I find this really useful in explaining concepts.
May Allah reward your ample efforts (Ameen)

Answer:
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is no one (no idol, no person, no
grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Dear and Beloved Brother, Allah Subhanah has Decreed man
to a test in this one short transient life on this earth to see what a man does
in a given set of good as well as trying conditions. The deeds that a man does in these set of
given and Decreed conditions will determine the outcome of his eternal life of
the Hereafter.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale
Imraan verses 185-186:
185 Every soul shall have a taste of death:
and only on the Day of Judgment shall you be paid your full recompense. Only he who is saved far from the Fire
and admitted to the Garden will have attained the object (of life): for
the life of this world is but goods and chattels of deception.
186 Ye shall certainly be tried and tested in
your possessions and in your personal selves; and ye shall certainly hear much
that will grieve you from those who received the Book before you and from those
who worship many gods. But if ye
persevere patiently and guard against evil, then that will be a determining
factor in all affairs.
Your Question: My question is what is the correct and most
direct route to obtain Jannah for an individual?
As it is with
everything which is expensive or valuable on this earth, it is scarce, and one
has to strive a good portion of one’s life to achieve his goals. The higher the goal or mission, the harder
one has to strive to achieve it! If one
were to simply ask any of the high achievers amongst mankind, be it in the
fields of education, sports, governance, medicine, science, humanities, or any
particular field of their expertise; the one thing each and every one would say
is that there is no short-cut to achieving success…the path to success is
burdened with ‘dedication’, ‘sacrifice’, and ‘hard-work’.
When one has to single-mindedly dedicate oneself and work
tirelessly towards achieving one’s mission for a portion of his life time to
achieve success on this planet earth; one only has to imagine the level of
sacrifice, dedication and hard-work needed to achieve what the Quran calls ‘The
Ultimate Success’; where all achievements and triumphs absolutely humble and
pale themselves in comparison to that Ultimate and Everlasting Success of the
Hereafter; namely the entry into the Eternal Gardens of Bliss in the Realms of
Paradise!
The Messenger of Allah (saws) said in an
authentic hadith:’Verily, the Reward with Allah is extremely expensive
(invaluable)!; Verily, the Reward with Allah is
To fulfill his test of life, Allah Subhanah has bestowed
man (and Jinn) with two things which He has not bestowed in any amongst His
creation:
Intelligence or the Power of Reasoning
A ‘Free Will’ to choose whatever path one wishes to follow
in this one short transient life.
Whoever amongst mankind, uses his bestowed intelligence or
the power of reasoning, recognizes his Creator and His Rights, and of his own
free will submits to the Will of his Supreme Creator; he has been promised the
Mercy and Grace of Allah Subhanah. And
whoever amongst mankind denies his Creator and His Rights, and chooses to live
his life according to his own whim, desires and fancy; will have a severe
accounting in the Presence of the Majestic Lord on an Inevitable Day.
Allah Subhanah, time and again guides mankind in His
Glorious Quran towards two aspects of life, without which He Declares it would
be absolutely impossible to reach
Belief or Faith (Imaan)
The doing of righteous good deeds in accordance with the
guidance of Allah and His Messenger (saws).
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 95 Surah
At-Teen verses 4-6:
4 We have indeed created man in the best of
molds
5 Then do We abase him (to be) the lowest
of the low!
6 Except such as believe and do righteous
deeds: for they shall have a Reward Unfailing.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 103 Surah
Asr verses 1-3:
1 By (the Token of) time (through the Ages)
2 Verily Man is in loss!
3 Except such as have Faith and do
righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual
teaching of Truth and of Patience and Constancy.
Thus, in light of the Holy Quran and the guidance of the
Messenger of Allah (saws) the absolute direct and only route to
There are hundreds of other Aayahs in the Glorious Quran
whereby Allah Subhanah clarifies the elements of faith and highlights some of
the good righteous deeds necessary for one to attain that Ultimate Success in
the Hereafter:
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah
Baqarah verses 2-5:
2 This is the Book; in it is guidance sure without doubt to those who
fear Allah.
3 Who believe in the Unseen are steadfast
in prayer and spend out of what We have provided for them.
4 And who believe in the Revelation sent to
thee and sent before thy time and (in their hearts) have the assurance of the
Hereafter.
5 They are on (true) guidance from their
Lord and it is these who will prosper.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale
Imran verse 31-32:
O Prophet,
tell the people, “If you sincerely love Allah, follow me.
Then Allah will love you and forgive you your sins, for He is All Forgiving, All Merciful.” Also say to them, “Obey Allah and His
Messenger.” And if, in spite of this, they do not accept your invitation, warn them that Allah does not love
those, who refuse to obey Him and His
Messenger.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 9 Surah
Taubah verse 111: Allah hath purchased of the believers
their persons and their good; for theirs (in return) is the Garden (of
Paradise): they fight in His cause and slay and are slain: a promise binding on
Him in truth through the Law, the Gospel, and the Qur'an: and who is more
faithful to his covenant than Allah?
Then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the Achievement
Supreme.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 46 Surah
Ahqaaf verses 13-16:
13 Verily those who say "Our Lord is
Allah" and remain firm (on that Path), on them shall be no fear nor shall
they grieve.
14 Such shall be Companions of the Garden
dwelling therein (for aye): a recompense for their (good) deeds.
15 We have enjoined on man Kindness to his
parents: in pain did his mother bear him and in pain did she give him
birth. The carrying of the (child) to
his weaning is (a period of) thirty months.
At length when he reaches the age of full strength and attains forty
years he says "O my Lord! grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favor
which Thou hast bestowed upon me and upon both my parents and that I may work
righteousness such as Thou mayest approve; and be gracious to me in my
issue. Truly have I turned to Thee and
truly do I bow (to Thee) in Islam."
16 Such are they from whom We shall accept
the best of their deeds and pass by their ill deeds: (they shall be) among the
Companions of the Garden: a Promise of Truth which was made to them (in this
life).
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 61 Surah
Saff verses 10-12:
10 O ye who believe! Shall I lead you to a
bargain that will save you from a grievous Penalty?
11 That ye believe in Allah and His
Messenger, and that ye strive (your utmost) in the Cause of Allah with your
property and your persons: that will be best for you if ye but knew!
12 He will forgive you your sins and admit
you to Gardens beneath which rivers flow, and to beautiful mansions in Gardens
of Eternity: that is indeed the Supreme Achievement.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 23 Surah
Muminoon verses 1-11:
1 The Believers must (eventually) win
through
2 Those who humble themselves in their
prayers;
3 Who avoid vain talk;
4 Who are active in deeds of charity;
5 Who abstain from sex
6 Except with those joined to them in the
marriage bond or (the captives) whom their right hands possess for (in their
case) they are free from blame
7 But those whose desires exceed those
limits are transgressors
8 Those who faithfully observe their trust
and their covenants;
9 And who (strictly) guard their prayers
10 Those will be the heirs
11 Who will inherit
The thing that is absolutely imperative to develop if one
wishes to attain Paradise, the thing that increases and shines one’s faith, and
the one thing that inspires man in his striving to do good righteous deeds in
light of the guidance of the Quran is Sunnah is ‘taqwa’ (piety,
God-consiousness, and the absolute awe or fear of Allah Subhanah). In our humble opinion, if one is able to
develop ‘taqwa’, the path to

Naziaat verses 35-41:
35 The Day when Man shall remember (all)
that he strove for
36 And Hell-Fire shall be placed in full
view for (all) to see
37 Then for such as had transgressed all
bounds
38 And had preferred the life of this world
39 The Abode will be Hell-Fire;
40 And for such as had entertained the fear
of standing before their Lord's (tribunal) and had restrained (their) soul from
lower Desires
41 Their abode will be the Garden.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah
Zumar verse 20:
20 But it is for those who fear
their Lord that lofty mansions one above another have been built: beneath them
flow rivers (of delight): (such is) the Promise of Allah: never doth Allah fail
in (His) Promise.
The Messenger of Allah (saws) summed up the entire process
of entry into
Sahih Muslim Hadith 6778 Narrated by Anas ibn Malik
I heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) say: ‘
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
