Why Muslims hated?
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's
Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:
Can anybody be born or die without the will of
Allah. Therefore isn`t all humans creation of Allah. So why is there no mass
movement in explaining to all humanity the goodness of Islam. Instead Muslims
have managed to make themselves most hated and suspicious community in the eyes
of non-muslims. By creating this image haven`t the guardians and preachers of
Islam done the, most damage to Islam and will be punished by Alllah. Secondly
the education level amongst Muslims is absymally low and there seems to be
nobody issuing any fatwa to force Muslims to educate themselves and their
children in a way that is competent in modern world.

Answer:
Why Muslims hated?
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is no one (no idol, no person, no
grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Your Question: Can anybody be born or die without the will
of Allah. Therefore isn`t all humans creation of Allah.
My dear and beloved Brother in Islam, leave alone the
birth and death of human beings; not even a seed in the deepest end of the
earth sprout, nor can a leaf from the tree in the fathest end of the earth fall
without the Precise and Specific Will and Permission of the All-Mighty,
All-Powerful Lord of the Worlds!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah
Nisaa verse 1: O mankind! Reverence your Guardian-Lord Who created you
from a single person, created of like nature his mate and from them twain
scattered countless men and women; reverence Allah through Whom ye demand your
mutual (rights), and (reverence) the wombs (that bore you): for Allah ever
watches over you.
Indeed, my beloved brother, Allah Subhanah is the Sole
Creator of the human race, the Same Sole Creator who created the heavens and
the earth, and everything that exists in between!
Your Question: So why is there no mass movement in
explaining to all humanity the goodness of Islam. Instead Muslims have managed
to make themselves most hated and suspicious community in the eyes of
non-muslims. By creating this image haven`t the guardians and preachers of
Islam done the, most damage to Islam and will be punished by Alllah.
May Allah Subhanah reward you generously in this world and
the Hereafter for asking this all-important question.
Allah Subhanah created mankind, and all across the ages of
time appointed His Prophets and revealed His Message for the guidance of
mankind. In His All-Encompassing and
Perfect Knowledge, when the human race was ready to receive His Last and Final
Message, He appointed His Last and Final Messenger, Mohamed ar-Rasool Allah and
revealed upon Him His Final Message as a Book of Guidance for all mankind until
the end of time.
Under the guidance and leadership of the Prophet Mohamed
(saws), a Muslim Ummah was born, taught, trained and commanded by Allah and the
Messenger (saws) to first and foremost follow the Straight Path, and made it
the duty and responsibility of this Ummah of Prophet Mohamed (saws) to continue
the Noble Mission of their Prophet (saws) and invite all of mankind to this
Straight Path of Allah Subhanah.
Allah says in the Holy Quran: Chapter 16, Surah An-Nahl
Ayat 125: Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and excellent admonition
and argue with people in the best manner. Your Lord knows best who has gone
astray from His Way and who is Rightly Guided.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah
Ale-Imran verse 110: Ye (the Muslims) are the best of peoples
evolved for mankind enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and
believing in Allah.
The Messenger of Allah (saws) said these
words in his Last Sermon to the believers:
Remember, one day you will appear before
Allah and answer for your deeds. So beware, do not astray from the path of
righteousness after I am gone.
O People, no Prophet or Messenger will come
after me and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and
understand my words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the
Qur'an and my example, the Sunnah, and if you follow these you will never go
astray.
All those who listen to me shall pass
on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones
understand my words better than those who listen to me direcly. Be my witness
oh Allah that I have conveyed your message to your people."
Thus my dear and beloved brother in Islam, the duty and
responsibility of carrying forward and continuing the Noble Mission of the
Prophet Mohamed (saws) has been clearly laid out for us by Allah and His
Messenger (saws). This honor and
responsibility of inviting mankind to the Truth of Islam was not entrusted to a
group of people, or to leaders, or to scholars, etc.; but it was entrusted to
each and every individual who claimed to belong to the Ummah of Prophet Mohamed
(saws)!
Allah and His Messenger (saws) have made it your duty, and
my duty, and the duty of each and every believer to first and foremost follow
the Straight Path himself, and invite whoever is willing to listen to good
caution to this Straight and Noble Path of Allah Subhanah.
Every believer is a guardian of this
Indeed my beloved brother, when you say that today we have
made ourselves the most hated and suspicious community in the sight of the
non-muslims; you are absolutely right; and Allah is our witness, if we do not seek
sincere repentance and amend our conduct as individuals and as an Ummah, the
Wrath and Anger of Allah upon us would indeed be unbearable!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah
Maidah verse 54: O ye who believe! If any from among you
turn back from his faith soon will Allah produce a people whom He will
love as they will love Him, lowly with the believers mighty against the
rejecters, fighting in the way of Allah, and never afraid of the reproaches of
such as find fault. That is the Grace of
Allah which He will bestow on whom He Pleaseth: and Allah Encompasseth all and
He Knoweth all things.
May Allah Subhanah indeed reward you with the best in this
world and the Hereafter, my dear and beloved brother in Islam, for reminding
us, as you remind yourself and the Muslim Ummah of the responsibility we seem
to have forgotten, in our seeking the transient pleasures and luxuries of this
world! If you, and I, and all the
believers do not fulfill this Noble Mission, it is the Promise of Allah that He
will destroy us, take away this honor and responsibility from us, and produce a
people whom He will love and they will love Him, and fulfill His Noble and
Honorable Mission.
O our Lord, have Mercy on us, the Ummah of Prophet Mohamed
(saws), the first of us and the last of us; and O our Lord forgive us for our
shortcomings in fulfilling Your Mission.
O our Lord, have Mercy upon us, forgive us, help us, guide us, and honor
us and choose us and include us amongst those who love You and You love them;
and help us to fulfill our responsibility to invite all who are willing to listen
to good caution to Your Straight Path. O
our Lord, we implore you with the same words as prayed by Prophet Musa (a.s.)
when his people would not help him fulfill your
"O my Lord!
If it had been Thy Will Thou couldst have destroyed long before, both
them and me: wouldst Thou destroy us for the deeds of the foolish ones among
us? This is no more than Thy trial: by
it Thou causest whom Thou wilt to stray, and Thou leadest whom Thou wilt into
the Right Oath. Thou art our Protector:
so forgive us and give us Thy Mercy; for Thou art the best of those who
forgive. And ordain for us that which is good in this life and in the
hereafter: for we have turned unto Thee." (Surah 7 Aaraaf 155-156)
Dear and Beloved Brother in Islam, Islam will only spread
when each and every one of us who truly wishes to be successful in the Presence
of his Majestic Lord in the Hereafter, recognizes his responsibility and duty
and strives to, first and foremost implement Islam in his own life, and by his
example invite and propagate its beauty and Truth to all who are willing to
good caution.
If one looks at the state of the Muslim Ummah and the
Muslims today, it indeed seems like an almost impossible task! But it is the Promise and Decree of our Lord
that this Truth of Islam will be triumphant over all the other ‘ways of life’;
what you and I and every believer has to decide today is what role, if any, he
or she wishes to fulfill in this Noble and Honorable Mission.
Your Statement: Secondly the education level amongst
Muslims is absymally low and there seems to be nobody issuing any fatwa to
force Muslims to educate themselves and their children in a way that is
competent in modern world.
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 218 Narrated by Anas ibn Malik
Allah's Messenger (saws) said: ‘The seeking
of knowledge is obligatory for every Muslim.’
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 220 Narrated by Anas ibn Malik
Allah's Messenger (saws) said: ‘One who goes
out to search for knowledge is (devoted) to the Cause of Allah till he returns.’
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 217 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Abbas
Allah's Messenger (saws) said: ‘A single
scholar of religion is more formidable against the Shaytaan than a thousand
devout people.’
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 213 Narrated by Abu Umamah al-Bahili
Mention was made to Allah's Messenger (saws)
of two persons: the one being a devout, and the other being a scholar.
Thereupon Allah's Messenger (saws) said: ‘The superiority of the scholar over
the devout is like my superiority over one who is of the lowest rank amongst
you.’ Then Allah's Messenger (saws) said: ‘Verily (for the scholars) Allah and
His Angels, the dwellers of the Heavens and of the Earth, even an ant in its
hole and fish (in the depth of water) invoke blessings on one who teaches
people goodness.’
My dear and beloved brother, the ‘fatwa’ regarding the
seeking of knowledge and educating oneself has been issued by Allah and His
Messenger (saws) 1,400+ years ago! We
can blame none except ourselves for not following the wise counsel and commands
of Allah and His Messenger (saws)!
In conclusion, I would like to quote here a Prophetic
Hadith from the Messenger of Allah (saws) who foretold the state of his Ummah
1400+ years ago! Unless and until we, as
individuals and as an Ummah do not rectify our conduct and shortcomings
according to the wise council of Allah and His Messenger (saws), we will remain
in this state!
Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 4284 Narrated by Thawban
The Prophet (saws) said: ‘A time is coming
upon you (the Ummah) when the people will soon summon one another to attack you
as people when eating invite others to share their dish.’ Someone asked: ‘Will that be because of our
small numbers at that time?’ He (saws) replied:
‘No, you will be numerous at that time: but you will be scum and rubbish like
that carried down by a torrent, and Allah will take fear of you away from the
breasts of your enemy, and cast ‘Wahn’ (enervation) into your hearts.’ Someone asked: ‘What is ‘Wahn’ (enervation),
O Messenger of Allah (saws)?’ He (saws)
replied: ‘Love of the world and dislike of death.’
My dear and beloved brother in Islam, may Allah Subhanah
reward you with the best of this world and the Hereafter for asking this very
important question that should awaken the heart and mind of every true believer
who is aghast and appalled at the state of the Muslims and the Muslim Ummah
today. May Allah Subhanah accept this
amongst your good deeds and your striving in helping awaken the sleeping
Ummah. Ameen.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
Your Brother in Islam,
