Woman pubic hair
Mu' meneen Brothers and
Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa
Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be
upon all of you)
One of our
brothers/sisters has asked this question:
Assalam Alaikum I have 3 questions.Do women masturbate? If a
husband and wife both shave their private parts, then won`t it cause discomfort
during sex? Becuase the area becomes rough? I`m going to get married
InshaaAllah and I need to know whether I should look for another method of hair
removal, like waxing, so that I don`t cause discomfort to my husband. Can one
remove their pubic hair during the time that they are not in a state of
tahaara, for eg., during the menses?
JazakAllah, brother. Keep
up the good work

Answer:
Woman pubic hair
In
the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for
His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He
allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there
is no one (no idol, no person, no grave,
no prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Q-1: Do women masturbate?
Yes.
Q-2: If a husband and wife both shave
their private parts, then won`t it cause discomfort during sex? Becuase the
area becomes rough? I`m going to get married InshaaAllah and I need to know
whether I should look for another method of hair removal, like waxing, so that
I don`t cause discomfort to my husband.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 7.779 Narrated
by Abu Huraira
I heard the Prophet (saws) saying. "Five practices are
characteristics of the Fitra (nature): circumcision, removing the pubic
hair, cutting the moustaches short, clipping the nails, and depilating
the hair of the armpits."
One may use any method to remove one’s pubic hair, and it does not cause any discomfort at the time of intercourse.
Q-3: Can one remove their pubic hair
during the time that they are not in a state of tahaara, for eg., during the
menses?
There is absolutely no restriction in Shariah which would prohibit a woman from
removing her pubic hair during her state of menses, if she wishes to do
so.
