First Question: I was looking for the start date of Ramadam and from the search engine I got a lot of answers not related to Ramadam but other things against Islam, I was hurt and did not sleep well for days. My question: In the qu`ran is it true that it is said some where that Issa (PSL) Jesus died? I know for sure it is said that he raised. Please explain to me why it is said in the holly Guran that he died if that`s true.

Answer:

Quran says Isa Jesus Died

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

May Allah Subhanah reward you with the best of this world and the Hereafter for your kind comments of encouragement for our humble efforts in the propagation of the Truth. If our humble and modest efforts have helped even one brother or sister get closer to Allah and His Deen of Truth, then we would consider ourselves indeed fortunate to have been given this opportunity by the Lord Most Merciful to serve in His Cause. We hope, beg, and pray the Merciful Lord accepts our humble and weak efforts, forgives us our shortcomings, and saves you, us, and all the believers from the torment of the Hell Fire. Ameen.

Q-1: My question: In the qu`ran is it true that it is said some where that Issa (PSL) Jesus died? I know for sure it is said that he raised. Please explain to me why it is said in the holly Guran that he died if that`s true.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale Imraan verses 54-55:

54 And (then unbelievers) plotted and planned and Allah too planned, and the Best of Planners is Allah.

55 Behold! Allah said: "O Jesus! I will take thee and raise thee to Myself and clear thee (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme; I will make those who follow thee superior to those who reject Faith to the Day of Resurrection; then shall ye all return unto Me, and I will judge between you of the matters wherein ye dispute.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 19 Surah Maryam verses 29-34:

29 But she (Maryam) pointed to the babe (Jesus). They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?"

30 He (Jesus) said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah: He hath given me revelation and made me a Prophet;

31 "And He hath made me Blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live;

32 "(He) hath made me kind to my mother and not overbearing or miserable;

33 "So Peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the Day that I shall be raised up to life (again)"!

34 Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of Truth about which they (vainly) dispute.

Allah Says in the Holy Quarn Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verses 157-159:

157 That they (the Jews) said (in boast) "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary the Messenger of Allah"; but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them; and those who differ therein are full of doubts with no (certain) knowledge but only conjecture to follow. For, of a surety they killed him not.

158 Nay Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power Wise.

159 And there is none of the People of the Book but must believe in him before his (Jesus’) death; and on the Day of Judgment He will be a witness against them.

The Glorious Quran is absolutely clear that Prophet Isa (a.s.) did not die at the hands of the Romans and the Jews, but Allah Subhanah raised him to Himself.

The two verses where the death of Prophet Isa (a.s.) is mentioned (as quoted from above from the Quran Surah Maryam 19:33, and Surah Nisaa 4:159) are events that are to happen in the future during the second Resurrection of the Noble Messenger of Allah, Hadrat Isa (a.s.) son of Maryam. These events are declared in the various traditions of Prophet Mohamed (saws) who prophesized that Hadrat Isa (a.s.) will come back to earth, live his natural life, will establish the Law of Allah Subhanah on the earth, and will subsequently die his natural death on this earth.

Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 4310 Narrated by Abu Hurayrah

The Prophet (saws) said: ‘There is no Prophet between me and him, that is, Jesus (a.s.). He (Jesus (a.s.) will descend (to the earth). When you see him, recognize him: a man of medium height, reddish fair, wearing two light yellow garments, looking as if drops were falling down from his head though it will not be wet. He will fight the people for the cause of Islam. He will break the cross, kill swine, and abolish Jizyah. Allah will perish all religions except Islam. He will destroy the Antichrist (Dajjal) and will live on the earth for forty years, and then he will die. The Muslims will pray over him.”

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
