One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

let me know that if a person doesn`t pray three Jummas(friday) prayers successively,he is said to be non-muslim,..is it so???then how can he become Muslim again?

Miss 3 Friday Prayers

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 1047 Narrated by Al-Ja'd ad-Damri

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “He who leaves the Friday prayer (continuously) for three Fridays on account of slackness, Allah will print a stamp on his heart.”

In light of the above narration of the Messenger of Allah (saws), a person who intentionally misses three consecutive Friday prayers without a valid reason, Allah will seal or put a stamp on his heart.

The hadith does not mean that one who misses three Friday prayers intentionally without a valid reason, leaves the fold of Islam and becomes an apostate, or needs to revert back to Islam again! Such a person, should turn to Allah in sincere repentance and Taubah and seek Allah’s forgiveness for his slackness. If he does so, he will Insha Allah, find Allah Subhanah Forgiving and Merciful.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
