Living in sin of Zina
Mu' meneen Brothers
and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa
Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be
upon all of you)
One of our
brothers/sisters has asked this question:
Actually me and this guy are involved enough from heart and soul as well physically but due to some social conditions he is unable to marry me openly and we both perhaps cant resist to have sex with each other, even though we have tried alot!.We gave each other lot of time to think still ended up in the solution to have it if we cant be together somehow for the rest of our lives.Would you please can tell me from islamic point of view what can we do about it and what should i tell him that can easily convince him either to marry me or to leave me,bcoz i dont want to do this svere sin even though he said that we can be forgiven even if we committed zina seventy times.God ALmighty is greatest forgiver!

Answer:
Living in sin of Zina
In the name of Allah, We praise
Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none
can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.
We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam,
no dai, nobody!) worthy of
worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His
slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Your realization and shame of
the heinous sin committed is proof that you fear Allah Subhanah, and His Accounting on an Inevitable
Day. You should immediately turn to
the Merciful Lord in sincere repentance and seek forgiveness; it is expected you will find your Lord
Merciful and Forgiving.
Your Question: Would you please can tell me from islamic point of view what can we do about it and what should i tell him that can easily convince him either to marry me or to leave me,bcoz i dont want to do this svere sin
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 17 Surah Israa verse 32:Do not even go near ‘zina’
(fornication or adultery) for it is a very indecent thing and a very evil way!
Allah Says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 25 Surah Furqan verses 68-71:
68 (The true servants of the Merciful are) Those who invoke not with Allah any other god, nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred
except for just cause, nor commit
‘zina’; and any that does this
(not only) meets punishment
69 (But) the
Penalty on the Day of Judgment will be doubled to him and he will dwell therein
in ignominy.
70 Unless he
repents, believes, and works righteous deeds; for Allah will change the evil of such
persons into good, and Allah is
Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful
71 And whoever repents
and does good has truly turned to Allah with an (acceptable) conversion
If you truly fear Allah and His
Accounting, you must immediately stop
all relations with this man; and give
him the ultimatum to either marry you immediately or leave you alone
forever!
Your Statement: even though he said that we can be forgiven even if we committed zina seventy times.
Indeed, Allah Subhanah forgives the sins of His
repenting slaves which are done in ignorance,
even if they are done a million times! But if one intentionally persists in the wrongs they did, and plans to commit the sin again and
again; he in fact is making a mockery
of the infinite mercy and forgiveness of Allah Subhanah!
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale Imraan verse 135-136:Allah likes such good people
very much, who, if ever they commit a
base deed or wrong their own soul by the commission of a sin, remember Allah instantly, and ask for forgiveness from Him for their
shortcomings. For who, but Allah,
can forgive sins?
(And Allah loves those) who do not knowingly persist in the
wrongs they did. These
will be rewarded with forgiveness from Allah,
and with Gardens beneath which canals flow, and they will reside therein forever! How excellent is the reward of those who do good deeds!
It is a classic ploy and trick
of the accursed enemy of man, the
Shaitaan, to beguile man into knowingly
and persistently committing the evil and heinous sin of ‘zina’, by whispering such baseless thoughts of
justification into our hearts; that
Allah Subhanah will forgive the evil sin of ‘zina’, even if it is done seventy times!
Allah Subhanah is indeed very
Forgiving and Merciful towards His slaves who seek sincere repentance and
forgiveness; but to knowingly persist
in the wrong, and intentionally plan to
commit a base evil deed again and again does not behove the character of a true
believer, who sincerely fears Allah and
the Last Day. It is one of the conditions
of seeking sincere repentance, that a
believing slave of the Merciful makes a strong covenant and promise with his
Lord that he will not commit the sin again!
Normally, the person or partner who justifies such
evil sins with such baseless arguments,
is either beguiled by the Shaitaan,
or is simply an opportunist who wants to satisfy his lust, but is not responsible and man enough to
assume the responsibilities which are attached to it by legal marriage!
We implore you as your sincere
well-wishers and brothers and sisters in faith, to immediately stop all relations with such a person, seek sincere repentance from the Merciful
Lord for the evil done in the past,
make a strong covenant and promise with Allah Subhanah that you will
never repeat this sin again, and in
open and clear terms tell your partner to either honor you by marrying
you, or leave you alone!
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 39 Surah Zumur verses 53-54:(O Prophet) say: “O My servants who
have wronged their own souls….Do not despair of Allah’s Mercy! Surely, Allah forgives all sins. He indeed is the All Forgiving,
All Merciful. Return
to your Lord and submit to Him before the scourge overtakes you; for then you may get no help from anywhere.”
Allah forbid, if either of you were to meet with your
appointment of death while still in the state of this heinous sin and
abomination; the accounting in the
Majestic Court of the All-Mighty Lord will indeed be very very severe!
We implore you as your sincere well-wishers
and brothers in faith to eschew from this abomination immediately, and seek sincere repentance from the
Merciful Lord; it is expected you will
find Him Forgiving and Merciful.
Whatever written of Truth and
benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error
is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He
is the Only Source of Strength.

Islam,
