One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Never it is said by any of the dai’s that There is any other book than Qur’an written by Allah. How did u come to this conclusion as They write the books of their own hands and say “This is from Allah”? Morever whatever till now I heard from syedna’s wa’az,(exclude aamils and bhai sahibs)is the same I’m getting it from the Holy book Qur’an( I mean they do preach from Qur’an) also U said we hardly know the meaning of one aayah from the Qur’an but let me tell u recently in Ramadan we were being taught the meaning of suratul laylatul Qadr,in the very same form as in Qur’an. No additions and no deletions.(I am not being rude. Just want to go till the depth.)Waiting for the reply.

Dai does not claim any other book rather than the Quran

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Not that they specifically say that there is any other Book other than the Holy Quran which is written by Allah Subhanah! But because their followers have very little knowledge of the Holy Quran themselves, they assume that whatever their leaders say and do is from the Glorious Quran; but the ones who understand the clear and simple Message of the Quran, know that nothing could be farther from the Truth!

The only reason almost all the Bohras abhor their aamils and their bhai-sahebs is because they have dealt with them on a daily basis… and their hearts verify their doubts that these people could not possibly be the ‘men of God’!!!! But that is a different subject and not our immediate topic of discussion.

How could one, who himself knows so little of the Holy Quran, and who has never ever tried to understand the Holy Quran, and who is not allowed to understand the Glorious Quran by their holy men… know whether something being said is from the clear teachings of the Quran or not?

The Holy Quran is the very Revelation and Words of Allah Subhanah, which He has revealed for the guidance of mankind! Allah Himself says in the Quran that it is simple, plain, direct, and a perfect guidance for mankind. But some people choose not to understand this very guidance, but would rather depend on a few words or phrases spoken by their supposed ‘holy men’… and then trust that everything they say and do is from the Quran. Our simple invitation is to read the Glorious Quran once from the beginning to the end…and then decide what is Truth and what is falsehood. For Allah Himself declares that this Glorious Book is the Criterion between Truth and falsehood!

Allah says in Chapter 2, Surah Baqarah aayat 185:"Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was sent down: this Book is a perfect guidance for mankind and consists of CLEAR teachings which show the right way and are a Criterion of the Truth and falsehood."

Your Statement: U said we hardly know the meaning of one aayah from the Qur’an but let me tell u recently in Ramadan we were being taught the meaning of suratul laylatul Qadr,in the very same form as in Qur’an. No additions and no deletions.

We have absolutely no doubt that the ‘holy men’ translated the 97^th Surah of Al Qadr on one of the nights of Ramadan! And we absolutely have no doubt that they did not add nor delete anything from its meanings… and you have confirmed that they translated in the very same form as in the Quran! That is simply because this Surah is non-controversial and does not say anything about the grave sin of ‘shirk’ that these ‘holy men’ propagate. Almost all the major Surahs in the Quran revolve around the concept of Tawheed (Oneness of Allah Subhanah) and the refutation of ‘shirk’ (associating others with Allah)!!! But these supposed ‘holy men’ will never ever touch those Surahs of the Quran. These supposed ‘holy men’ do exactly what Allah says in the Quran the holy men of the Jews did to their people: taught their followers some verses of their Revealed Scriptures, and concealed the rest!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 91:These people (the Jews) formed quite a wrong estimate of Allah, when they said, “Allah has not sent down anything to any man!” Ask them (O Prophet), “Then who sent down the Book which Moses brought, which was a Light and a Guidance for mankind? Which you have divided into fragments; a part of which you show to the people, and most of it you hide from them; by which you were given that knowledge which neither you nor your forefathers possessed?” Just say, ‘Allah’ and then leave them alone to play with their useless arguments.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale Imran verse 187:Remind the People of the Book of the covenant that Allah made with them and enjoined, “You shall spread the teachings of the Book among the peoples and shall not keep these concealed.” But they flung the Book behind their backs and bartered it away for paltry worldly gains. What a bad business they are carrying on!

These people will have absolutely no qualms in explaining one small Surah, or one verse here, or one phrase there…. But there is simply no way that they will ever teach or make their followers understand the Quran in its entirety…. They will tell you to learn every other book (like Diam ul Islam, etc.), but never will they let you understand, nor teach the Glorious Quran in its entirety. Because if they ever did that, all their falsehood would be clear for all to see.

And please refer to any translation of Surah Al Qadr and you will realize that what your preacher said will be exactly the same as what is said in all the available translations of the Quran! Then, why would they not allow their followers to read and understand the rest of the Holy Quran? Why do they always say that each aayah of the Quran has 10 meanings, when they translate Surah Al Qadr in exactly the same way as everyone else? Why do they never teach the meanings of Surah Baqarah, or Surah Ale Imran, or Surah Zumar, or Surah Mumin, etc.; why only Surah Qadr?

The Truth is that they will never ever encourage you to understand the Quran in its entirety! Never! They will say that the Quran has many meanings… and give them such names as zaahir, taaweel, baatin, etc.! They will even say that the Quran has been changed, and create so many doubts in the minds of their followers… so that they never approach the Quran for guidance! This is the precise same way of all the sects who invite their followers to become their slaves, rather than invite them to become slaves of Allah Subhanah! You will see that their deen and religion will revolve around the History of the Muslims, rather than the clear teachings and guidance of the Holy Quran!

Their mode-of-operation is to always quote an aayah here, or a phrase there and conceal the rest of the Holy Quran for a paltry worldly gain! The Whole Quran is from our Merciful Lord; and He in His Sublime Mercy, revealed it for the guidance of mankind! And the one and only way to understand the Truth of Islam is from this Glorious Book of Allah Subhanah!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Al-Baqarah verse 174:Indeed those, who conceal the commands that Allah has sent down in His Book and barter them away for paltry worldly gains, fill their bellies with fire. Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He regard them as pure and there is a painful torment for them!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 159:Those who conceal the clear (Revelations) and Guidance We have sent down, after We have made it clear for the people in the Book, on them shall be Allah’s ‘laanah’ and the ‘laanah’ of those who are entitled to curse!

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
