Why do people think Islam is strict?

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and who-ever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: can u give comments on Why People thinks Muslim Religion in Very Strict.

It might come as a shock and an eye-opener to those who don’t believe, but the Truth is that Islam is undoubtedly the best and most logical deen (way of life) or religion to follow. This is the religion and way of life ordained by The All Wise, All Knowing, Allah, and Allah mentions clearly in His Glorious Quran that this is the only religion acceptable to Him.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah Al Maidah verse 3: Today I (Allah) have perfected your deen for you and completed my Blessing on you and approved Islam as your way of life.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale-Imran verse 19: Indeed, Islam in the ONLY right way of life in the sight of Allah.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale-Imran verse 85: And whoever adopts any other than this way of Islam, that way shall not be accepted from him and in the Hereafter, he shall be among the losers.

The irony is that the people who don’t believe and the ones who don’t follow Islam are always the ones to claim that Islam is a very strict religion. On the other hand, the true believers, who try to follow every commandment of Allah and His Messenger (saws), and fashion their lives and their life-styles according to the guidance and teachings of Allah and His Messenger (saws), will swear by Allah, that Islam is the easiest and most practical and logical religion, and the best way of life to follow.

Thus the ones who do not know the finery, beauty, wisdom, peace and tranquility of Islam, constantly, in their envy, in their prejudice, in their enmity, in their jealousy, in their ignorance and above all, in their arrogance, claim Islam is a very strict religion! These are the ones who do not believe in the first place! These are the critics who criticize without any knowledge! Ask any intelligent person, who is more right to claim if a thing is right or wrong: the one who follows the path, or the one who does not even know what is the path?

This Path of Islam was ordained by Allah Subhanah Himself for all of mankind. Any other path will lead to nothing but destruction and injustice and corruption in this world, and a severe loss in the Hereafter. Islam Alone has the answers to all the problems prevalent in the world today….and only the arrogant reject this path of Truth.

Brother, if anybody tells you that your religion, Islam, is strict in a general statement, ask him to produce his evidence! Every commandment of Allah has oceans of wisdom and knowledge behind it, and if one seriously and justly reflects on these commandments, without any arrogance or prejudice, he will realize that the decision made by Allah and His Messenger (saws) are always for the best of all mankind. Allah Alone created man and He sent us a Book and a Messenger to guide us to salvation, and in that we believe!

We cannot claim that it is the easiest way to follow .. because the ignorant people follow whatever their lust tells them to follow … They run after the mirages of wealth, health, women, and the luxuries of life! But compared to the gains of following this ‘way of life’ to any other, we assure you that Islam will always be more practical and logical and more rewarding.

To relate a couple of examples:

Lets say a person just steals and cheats to make his wealth. Now this will obviously be easier in the short term, but in the end he will almost always end up in jail or in disaster.

Lets say a person does not study at all for his examinations. Now this obviously seems easier than the one who works hard and studies, so that he graduates with good grades.

Similarly, it is not a matter of Islam being easier or not, but the right question should be who comes out more successful in the end … The one who follows Islam, or the one who rejects it?

All Praise is due to Allah who guided us to Islam. My beloved brother, Islam is a broad subject and covers every single aspect of life… from personal, to physical, to financial, to spiritual, to communal, to eternal! If we start to count the favors of Allah, we will not be able to number them! For every facet of our lives, we have available for us the guidance of Allah and His Messenger (saws). And if you follow Allah and His Messenger (saws), I swear by Allah, you will never ever go wrong! In this world and in the hereafter!

But if one follows blindly this modern educated ignorant world, without guidance from Allah and His Messenger (saws), he is guaranteed in heading for disaster, here and in the world to come!

There are literally thousands of points whereby Islam is more practical and logical than other religions, even easier. To list and explain each of them would require volumes to be written. Its like asking to name all the halaal types of businesses one can do, or all the halaal types of food one can eat!! Its easier to name the haraam, rather than the halaal in Islam. Islam only declares what is haraam, and then other than that, everything is considered halaal. I cannot think of even one point, whereby the other religions are easier or more logical than Islam… Would appreciate if you could list me the points that you think are difficult to follow and then we could give you evidence from the Quran and Sunnah, as to why they are the best way to follow.

Thus brother, you ask the person who says that Islam is very strict and tell him to elaborate on it rather than give just this one bland, ignorant and arrogant statement! And then send us those objections, and Insha Allah, we will prove to you giving logical evidence everytime, that the commandments of Islam are undoubtedly always the best to follow.

May Allah guide us to the Straight Path of Islam.
