Can you please advise what we should do as people are misbehaving now days with our quraan in India new Delhi past few days.

Misbehaving with the Holy Quran

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Before we embark on any reaction, we must see what Allah and His Messenger (saws) have to say.  Our source of guidance should always be according to the teachings of the Holy Quran and the traditions of the Messenger of Allah (saws).   If we start burning their holy books in reaction to their deeds, or wage a fight against them, it is counter productive and harmful to the community of muslims in the long term.  We do what Allah and His Messenger (saws) tell us to do.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anam verse 108: (O believers), do not revile those whom they invoke besides Allah, lest they should, in their ignorance, revile Allah.  We have thus made the deeds of every people seem fair to them.   Ultimately they shall have to return to their Lord; then He will let them know what they have been doing.

Allah commands us in the Holy Quran to show patience, steadfastness and fortitude; and fear Allah in whatever we do.  We, as individuals, cannot transgress the boundaries which Allah has laid for us.   This is a time for reacting with wisdom and patience.  But yes, you should be hurt, and your hearts should ache when you learn and see what the unbelievers have done to our Holy Quran.  This is the sign and strength of the  ‘imaan’ that Allah has blessed you with.  But in our anger and passion, we are not allowed to do anything, which is against the guidance and teachings of the Holy Quran and the traditions of our beloved Prophet (saws).

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Ale-Imran verse 120: They (the disbelievers) grieve if you are blessed with some good, and rejoice if an evil befalls you.  But their crafty schemes cannot harm you at all, if you show fortitude and fear Allah in whatever you do.   Allah encircles whatever they are doing.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 14 Surah Ibrahim verse 42-43: Do not think that Allah is unaware of what these unjust people are doing.   He is only deferring their case to the Day when all eyes shall stare with consternation or bewilderment.  They shall be running in terror with necks out-stretched, their heads lifted up, their eyes fixed upwards, and their hearts becoming void! (The Day of Judgement).

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 44 Surah Dukhan verse 16: One day We (Allah) shall seize them with a Mighty Onslaught!  We (Allah) shall indeed take Our Vengeance or Retribution.

O Allah, Knower of the seen and the unseen, You know the state of our hearts!   O Allah, You know how pained and hurt and angry we are at the ‘kaafirs’ and their actions. O Allah, give us the strength and the patience to bear their atrocities. O Allah, grant us the ‘taqwa’ (God Consciousness) that we do only what pleases You.   O Allah, save us from doing anything that displeases You.   O Allah, raise amongst us such pious leaders and governments, who will unite the muslims.  O Allah, Lord of the Mighty Throne, we believe in You, we worship none but You Alone, and put all our trust in none, but You!  You indeed are the All Mighty, All Powerful and enough to take Revenge and Retribution whenever You desire.   There is absolutely nothing like You in the Universe, and everything will ultimately return to You for reckoning.

May Allah guide you and us all to the Siraat al-Mustaqeem

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

 Burhan
